MISTERIX 2 at Indiedogo.  "MISTERIX revamp/improvement project by one of the original authors."

#1

Anyone who knows San Andreas should have heard at least one time starting from 2007 of MISTERIX, one of the most famous e downloaded mods that introduces all those mysteries and urban legends ingame of which many talking about making them real (and lethal).

But not everyone knows that this mod is 100% italian, created by Automan and Zeb89.

Now, at a distance of 7 years, Kenneth "Zeb89" Caselli (that has become famous in the meantime most for is gorgeous
FPS arena skills and reviews against commercial shitty games that do not require real ability for win by is alter-ego) as decided to do a remake improving various aspects and expanding it. As the first one, MISTERIX 2 will be totally free.

here is the video where he explains all in detail:

And the Indidogo for funding.

Personally i would like to see it finished best as possible so anyone who can/wants to contribute, please do so. Italy is full of stupid suspicious manchild with "You just a money grabber!!!" syndrome, a real cultural problem rooted in our international youtube community, and adding the fact that many people do not donate just because they hate him for stupid reasons, i really fear he will never reach the amount provided if only the italians see this. :)

So let me get this straight.
This guy is using indiegogo to request funds for a mod to san andreas?
Is it even legal to charge for mods for a rockstar game?

It's kind of sad that a dude is requesting money for a mod that basically ads reskined npc's that looks like big foot, aliens, chainsaw people and ghosts or what ever and some people actually paid 36 euro for this.
Or maybe I am missing the whole point of the mod?
How can 4 million people be attracted by such a simplistic mod ?
What's more shocking is that people are still willing to seriously spend hours in a game as old as san andreas, when GTA4 has so many great mods and much better physics and weapons and everything as far as I'm concerned.
I played all gta games since 1 and I still don't understand what's the big deal with this mod.
Maybe somebody that installed it can fill me in...

The mod was influenced by the rumors spread when GTASA was released that there were strange Easter eggs within the game (Big Foot in the woods, Jason Vorhees in a cabin, UFOs, Sharks, a strange world found by flying a jetpack through the roof of the Ganton gym) Only the sharks and the gym thing were actually in the game, the rest was all bullshit, but i guess this guy wanted to make these rumors true for the game, and so made the mod. I don't know why he wants to remake them, the old mod is good enough. I don't really care for it to be honest, I'd much rather have gun mods or something. I don't see why he's asking for money either. If he could do it the first time unpaid, he can do it the 2nd time. Asking for donations just because, to tell people "It's a way to help" is one thing, because you'd still be making the project, but to not work on it at all until you get money is bull... besides, how do these people know he's not going to steal their money somehow?

Nonono. :P
The donations are required for the purpose to give help to legally buy professional tools without cracking/keygen it (5 different+2 or 3 some specifical, so not only the "free" Sunny builder but also stuff like 3dmax studio $3,675)

And, to make this clear: Even if it not reaches the quote, he will do it in any case with what he has or can afford whit is job, but not with the same quality that these more accurate and pay-for-use tools allow. Ultimately, if you are not interested to see
a better work of what has been done and it will be done, don't donate (as I see you are already doing). Simple.

In this dedicated Live eh gives clarifications about the various doubts. Unfortunately it is in Italian, and Youtube subtitles feature sucks ass, so try al least to perceive by intuition. Suffice to say that donations have increased after this.

Yai, douche: Too bad that you are enrolled in a forums where the main activity is play and modding a 1996 game!

Oh, and according your "spend hours in play/modding game old as X" statement, 90% of these guys are jackass.

In reality GTA 4 is moddabile as a shelf, and does not have the same atmosphere, variety of setting e gameplay feeling as San Andreas.

Ah, so you NEVER played the mod, but you want to give your "opinion" without having lived it. Typical of kids. :P

Thanks for clearing that up. I hope his project goes well, but I really can't donate to things like this :P
