Any fans of Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy around here?

#1

Are there any fans of this game in this forum? Anywhere at all? I can hardly find anyone it seems...It's a real shame that the game wasn't popular.

Possibly the most underrated game ever, a true gem and if you don't have it then you really need to have it. You used to be able to download the game for free(although it had in-game ads unless you bought it), but this is sadly no longer the case :)
However, it can still be bought, which I highly recommend, because it's cheap and this game is worth 10x more than what you might buy it for. I actually bought the game for 20 dollars or so when it was relatively new, and I still replay it every now and then to this very day. The physics are so much fun and the story is really cool and dark.

It's a true tragedy that there was no sequel :P

I guess not. :)

I actually bought it for the PS2 years ago but never played it. I guess I was more into Second Sight by Free Radical, similar games I might add, which was released around the same year.

Aww, 'tis a shame :P

Second Sight was also a great game, but I will always be a Psi-Ops fanboy :)

Looking at the video it reminds me of elements from Parasite Eve.

Totally reminds me of Second Sight as well. Might try to find this and try it out.

That game comes with a version of Starforce (which is already shitty by itself) that makes it unable to run at all, except under Windows XP. Is there any way to play it on a modern PC (except installing Windows XP under Virtual PC, that is)?

How intrusive are the ads? Are they something like street signs in the game advertising real products, or something like the actual game action being interrupted for a number of seconds at regular intervals to make you watch commercials?
