What Are You Listening To Now?

Generally because it's not a well known band. In Russia it was popular back in the days, when they performed on stadiums.
So what songs have you heard?More interesting for me is the question how did you know about that band? How did you come across it?

It's nice that our band is known abroad, even if they are notorious :P

I dont take their songs seriously and even their texts may be absurd. And they also have songs in English, sometimes it occurs to me that all the lyrics in their English songs are just a set of words that make little sense. But I still like some songs like AIDS(Спид), KKK (Ku Klux Klan), Ritual of burning corpses, Crazy House, Phantom, Abaddon, Moto Rocker, Black terror, in the storm viking and sword. I like the old era of the band - I mean with their previos vocalist - Sergey Vysokosov aka Borov(Boar). From the albums I like most only first two albums - Satan order and Russian vodka.

Oh! I remembered one funny video titled "Eat alive" http://www.youtube.c...h?v=bypST-P3ioU
Funny, because of performing solo parts on balalaikas)) So I advise to watch the whole bideo) Moreover there are parts from the horror movies - "Reanimator" and my favourite "Pumpkin head".

One more performance, the song's title is "Call of shadows" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNrnVEa34qg...feature=related
But the quality of the vid is not very good((

Also worthwatching clips:
Punk not dead http://www.youtube.c...h?v=qDrT_W32_kI
Come to sabbath http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kD0kh2NIg-8...feature=related

I heard their albums like "Russian Vodka","Cannibal","1.966" and etc. - every of them was unenjoyable uninteresting crap.

wow, nice to meet Russians here)) I'm from Russia as well. What I can say - tastes differ. Some think Metallica is a crap, but it's surely not, they are gods of metal for me As for Corrosion of Metal - they have catchy riffs :P and it's not very difficult to play their riffs on an electric guitar if you're a beginner. But you haven't heard their first album - it's the best they have I think.

Mister Sinister, do you have favourite Russian bands? What can you say about Aria, Kipelov, Master? Don't you like heavy music like thrash or heavy metal, may be some different genre?

Now playing:
GG Allin - bite it you scum

No, Faith and Pornography are.

Well, The Cure has lots of fantastic albums. The Cure Trilogy concert is great one if you like the band. They've played 3 albums(Pornography->Disintegration->Bloodflowers) in their entirety there.

Of course it's all the matter of taste to make opinions. But it's surely stupid to call Metallica piece of crap shit, inspite of their popularity, great contribution to rock and metal music, inspite the fact they gave birth to thrash metal, inspite of their beautiful ballads, good lyrics and ass-kikcking ability of performance. Isn't that stupid to say so? But still some don't give a shit on all these. Stupid - what else I can say...

2H Company - absract hip-hop,IDM
Ambassador21 - well,i guess some kind of industrial/noise/didgital hardcore.

Metallica was good in the 80-s,the rest - sucks,in my opinion.

In the early 90-s wasn't the band good? I mean Black album era and especially their asskicking performance at Tushino Airfield(Moscow) in 1991 - it was so great. Even MetallicA believes that that concert was one of the best they've ever had. It's a pity that I couldn't visit that show cause of my age.(I was 4 then). But I visited all their shows in Moscow and even in St. Petersburg - 4 concerts to be exact. They are great on the stage.

No. Load is better than Metallica. It's not metal, though.

Live performances don't mean shit as a "great contribution to rock and metal music". Or should we say that Black Sabbath is a great 21st century band? Nope, it isn't.

Metallica blows, their first few albums were good, Master of Puppets a crowning achievement in metal, even. But once Mustaine and Burton were out of the picture, and all of their material was used up, it's obvious the rest of'em couldn't write for shit. I'm thinking you tend to like these type of bands just so that you can feel 'cool' and 'underground,' when you blew up about that band being 'unknown' coupled with the fact you're a GG Allin fan. I mean, I like him too, but he doesn't write great music.

To the woman, that taught me a hug and 'I love you' heals a lot wounds, wild one's are more fun and found Pulp Fiction hilarious. One hell of a JW, or the JW from hell? Caught humming to her boys devil's music, and talked about the war when something like Fritz played on the radio. Yes, this is a blatant selfish post about my mother. Hey, why not post what people, that means something to you, love(d) to hear or watch? No one gives a shit that I'm listening to Grendel right now.

A little more up to date loss: Trish Keenan of Broadcast died. Looks like, only the good die young. Sweet kid, gone. :P

OK not the Cure, but better than Metallica. I can't stand his (James) almost country style singing. :P
