Every now and then I go to Youtube and binge watch Marty Friedman videos. His phrasing, scales, speed, feeling, song writing talent set him apart from most other guitarists IMO. I love the way he builds up the energy in his songs. Here he is playing solo over a backing track for a small group of people at a guitar trade show IIRC and he still manages to pull it off with great expression and feeling.
