Bolt Thrower - World Eater

I remember visiting the Boudisque record store in Amsterdam for the first time back in '89 and the Realm of Chaos album was displayed behind the counter as one of the (semi-)recent grindcore/metal releases, next to this:

Sore Throat - Disgrace to the Corpse of Sid

Saw Black Sabbath on their reunion tour last Saturday, blew my mind. Listening to the support band, Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats, currently. Good thing I fell in love with them before I heard they were opening for Sabbath, it made for an incredible night to remember and they were on great form.

This is a webpage containing a compilation of live sets originally aired on VPRO radio (one of the Dutch public broadcasting organisations) at a time when public radio was still worth a damn over here (i.e. a long time ago).

Currently listening to the Dead Moon set.

From the same programme:

Scorpions - Rock You Like a Hurricane

There was a time when I thought this was the heaviest thing ever.

Then again, there was a time before that when I thought this was the heaviest thing ever:

Mike Oldfield & Maggie Reilly - Moonlight Shadow

College feat. Electric Youth - A Real Hero

Saw Drive for the first time last night and this song really stuck, much better than most 80's influenced music of recent years (the film was pretty cool too).

Definitely, Drive is a five-star movie. That's a great track, but IMO the opening track tops it.
