Just wondering, how were the demo versions of the commercial add-ons for Duke Nukem 3D distributed? Were they downloadable from somewhere? Or were they included on CDs with other stuff?

I think sometimes they were put on those shareware disc you got with other games or "Shareware collection CDs"
I bought Heretic and it had the Shareware Doom. DN3D had all those sharewares with it as well. So I think they probably did the same thing.

I got those from the internet. Mostly from the distributors/publishers website.
Try http://www.wizworks.com/ on the wayback machine
If I recall correctly, they changed up these demo archives within a few weeks until they settled on the teaser.
