George Broussard's Next Masterpiece Released!  "10/10"

For people who don't follow George's Twitter (it's nothing special, complain about a few games, suck up to a few Apple products) he entered a contest on the weekend called Ludum Dare in which people who enter have to make a game in the span of a weekend and this contest's theme was 'You are the ViIllan'

Cool, the graphics are better than DNF.

Is this worth checking out?

EDIT:

Ignore. I just saw he needed advice from players to come up with the right key-combinations.

Oh how the mighty have fallen.

Edit: Don't jump on my throat, this is mostly joking around.

You know for 48 hours that isn't half bad.

Only 3 levels? I bet he cut content to sell as DLC later!
Also the story is terrible, and the maps are extremely linear.
And you can only carry 3 guns (more than you can in unpatched Forever though).
3/10 would not buy. :)

I never thought in my wildest dreams I would be defending George Broussard, but he did make it in 48 hours...

George Broussard has a new 48 hour Ludum Dare game. Robot Planet, a real-time rogue like. It's pretty neat.

It is neat, but it should have been turn-based all the way. Although air points are abundant for it to be not an issue at first, but general flow is confusing. Sometimes I just stop for a moment without realising I should be going. Maybe it's intentional.

I agree, the game would've been better if the air decreased only on every step you take.. But then that would detract from the 10 seconds theme a bit.

Considering that he built this game in 30 hours from scratch, I think it's great.(And I'm one of George Broussard's biggest haters)

If the air level decreased only on every step it would not have the same sense of urgency that I actually think it has. Still, it is a bit weird to mix real time and turn based like that.
