I didn't watch the entire video. Did he claim our whole ecosystem will break down without whales? What is the real world effect if it does happen? Since man came and overpopulated in the industrial revolution problems progressively worsen.
Overpopulation means lower quality of life, more stupid laws (I talk about minor laws such as banning jaywalking, no going in parks after 11pm etc).
Less freedom, more pollution, more conflict, more noise, less place to be at peace and more difficulty to find nice places.
China has "late stage" of that problem, world's biggest traffic, spending WEEKS in traffics, Deadly pollution smog, have to wear mask, toxic water in many lakes and more. Overpopulation is KILLING freedom slowly.

Overexploitation of resource.

Corruption and bribery is the main problem with government.

Government is like a machine with NO mind of their own.

VERY few countries don't cut down their forests without replacing.. Most modern country has a VERY slow rate of forest decline yearly.
Finland probably has one of the best forest protection, best forest conservation.

You seem to have this idea that there is a balance in nature. There isn't. Nature is constantly changing. It tends toward an equilibrium without ever reaching it. Of course, the rate of change is much faster now than it has been for the most part of Earth's history but that doesn't change the underlying principle. Many species simply have no place in today's Earth. This isn't a bad thing. The planet couldn't care less how many species there are.

Overpopulation is a problem that affects mainly underdeveloped countries. You only make it worse if you convert these countries into some kind of permanent natural reserves. Countries in South America need to exploit their rainforests so that they can one day climb out of their poverty and overpopulation. By that time there will be less species and it will be okay.

Flying fox (bat with good eyesight) plays a role in reproducing.
They eat seeds, shit them somewhere else and trees grows in elsewhere. They are like forest guardians and caretakers.

Life would be pointless to live if is only humans on Earth no other life.

There are life out there, intelligent life but they may have science before us.

They lasts up to 15 trillions of years while our sun is 10billions.

So imagine the evolution on planets in goldilock zones, probably far more superior than us.

So human did not invented science.
Human invented science on Earth such as stuff on Earth and beyond Earth we've studied.
Maybe some alien life form are doing just like us, invented stuff on THEIR planets and maybe they've called Earth JR'OLDFRI who knows.
Maybe we called a star Eta Carinae while it may already been named by aliens who saw it before us.

We CAN live without science.

I would put ANY animals above rapists, mass murderers, murderers, people I hate etc.

I would put friends, family above animals and stranger's lives.

What do you base that on?
