Well, not fade away until there is a better alternative. I agree with Scott on the notion that Steam has to seperate itself from Valve - 2 distinct companies. That would be a lot better. The fact is, only Microsoft could compete with them at this point, and so far Games for Windows Live is poorly designed from every aspect.
