Hello dudes.
So, I made and launched a beta of 'Dukecraft' about a year ago, you might have seen it around:

Basically, I want to push ahead and get this thing in some finished, polished order. It could be really cool and great for Minecraft and Duke Nukem 3D fans alike.
I really want Dukecraft to be a little bit of reinvented retro revival.
I'm looking for some help from a few Dukers or Minecrafters - or, preferably, both!
This is how I would like the final release, as one package:
1) Textures
95% original Duke 3D - the rest are either modified to fit or original content gap fillers. Textures can now be fully animated wherever necessary!
Being an artist and animator by trade I got this bit covered!
2) Sound
Again, 95% original.
I generally got this bulked out - simply a case of replacing Minecraft's .oggs with Duke ones. But I'm no sound designer, and some of them are a bit rough round the edges.
Any help from a sound guy making Duke noises sound more epic and professional would be badass.
3) Music
Not too sure what to do about this one...Minecraft music plays randomly from a selection of tracks.
Any music types that can perhaps remix Duke tracks to have gradual fade in/out (not just volume-wise)? Otherwise, anyone know where I can get the original Duke music?
4) Single player episode, and City Sandbox map!
This is a big one, but it's straightforward. Building maps in Minecraft is just like Lego.
I could do with some help from an experienced Minecraft redstone engineer though...got plenty of lifts, explosions and trains to wire up.
5) Beta testing
I certainly want to enlist a few original Duke3D fans to review and check out how it's going - including the textures, the map etc.
Post right back here if you think you can help in any way. Otherwise, I'll keep at it, and be sure to update here when I get somewhere. Laters!
