It is possible to build several different moving subway lines in the same map, and if so, how?

Duke it out in D.C level 6 (metro mayhem) has 3 different subway lines in the same map, so it's definitely possible.

I think it's as simple as setting up each subway as if it was the only subway in the map, i.e you shouldn't have to do anything special. I would think the subway would only look for locators in the same sector so as long as the subways are in different sectors you should be ok.

Yes that´s the way it works, Aditionally you can use a different hitag for each train´s SEs. The only limitation is with those pigcop flying bikes because they look for locators in the whole map.
