The truth about Duke Reloaded

"And that was the end of the Duke Nukem Reloaded project."
And that Interceptor now is working on two other and commercial projects instead.
I find it quite clear that there is no more Reloaded.
At the end of the 4th part of the Blog "The Conclusion" he states below: "Check out the last and final part of the story, in the next blog!" (Which isn't released yet).
The last blog entry was posted Feb 12 2012 and this is pretty current. Just because I'm speculating on an open statement on his blog doesn't mean you should take away my reputation points. If I was him i'd say screw whoever is giving him a hard time and just finish the project because he had a green light to finish the game from Gearbox. Then leak the game on the internet for free of course giving credit to Gearbox where credit is due.
It would be good exposure for his company as a means of demoing their talent to do a free release of the game which they would give back to the community without any retribution except for building a solid reputation in the gaming community and accepting donations. This Duke Nukem Reloaded is something 3DRealms should have really done from the start before screwing up the DNF project.
Gearbox did give him the rights to finish the game and Interceptor obvious has the license to use the Unreal engine. I suspect once he has the capital to invest in the project he just might finish it because of his passion for the game. No one works an entire year with a team of 30 people only to give up. That'd be pretty stupid, especially with the intricacy at which they were putting into the project. I don't see this as a dying project, merely a production that has slown down. There's too much red tape when it comes to Duke 3D people just need to relax especially some of these forum users who are a little anal retentive. You're weak!
The only other thing I can think of is maybe Gearbox is planning on re-releasing the Duke3D game themselves and there is a conflict of interest. Again who knows right? Anyway, don't give me a hard time for voicing my opinion that's what the forums are for. I'm not trying to get false hopes up. After reading the entire forum topic I realized I brough up material that was already mentioned in previous posts. Perhaps maybe that's why I was getting the bad rep points. But the information at the time for me was fresh and new. So I was a little behind on the times.
I also don't believe Gearbox should take the fall for making a shitty DNF game. I think the majority of the work was done by 3DRealms. Gearbox just basically tied the loose ends and finally released the game something 3DRealms wasn't capable of doing because they were all slackers over there and still high on themselves from the Duke3d Release which they beat to death. Please correct me if i'm wrong.

I'm pretty sure the last one was put up, and lumped all the blame on Gearbox, then it mysteriously disappeared again.

Well, there was a lot of stupid involved in and surrounding the project, so don't be so surprised. It's not as easy as simply continuing work on it either. They signed a contract, and Gearbox can and probably will come down pretty hard on them if any of the content in any shape or form was publicly released. But like it's been said, the project was very badly managed, and was probably never going to be released no matter what happened.

On topic:
The reason development was stopped is that there was no guaranteed release. And you cannot release a game of any IP you don't own without the permission of the IP owner.
There is absolutely no work on Reloaded anymore. And since I am in the dev channel of Interceptor-Entertainment I should know.
And now that the whole team works on other projects which are funded so that the devs get paid and a guaranteed release, it is absolutely not stupid to not work on Reloaded anymore.

However, it probably is stupid to work with Fresch. Have you been paid yet? Good luck when he runs off with all your money and starts some other crappy company. The guy has a litany of failed projects behind him, and nothing successful. I'm betting he casts his line out on fora fishing for 'staff', knowing full-well that nobody in their right mind would work with him. He catches the desperate fish. If I were you I'd leave. Having Interceptor Entertainment on your CV will make you look an utter cunt.

A litany of failures? Are there any projects I don't know about? He started a Daikatana remake as a personal project that he gave up after a little while. Then he did that Sin thing that was also a personal project but that was stopped by forces he had no control over. So there you have two personal projects one that he gave up on after a while and the other was stopped by threats of legal action. How many personal projects have we all stopped? There have been countless Duke3D mods for example have died down. Then there was Duke Reloaded that was arguable as a failure since that too involved the decisions of a 3rd party. So maybe one truly failed project. Many successful game developers and game development studios have more failures than that. Canceled projects, games by well respected designers that have been received badly either commercially, critically or both, etc.
"and nothing successful"
Nothing sucessful? As far as I know he has a company that is doing well, not talking about Interceptor but his "real life" business that he had way before all of this.

Some forum members don't trust him. So what?
Apparently others give him and the team money for making games now.

Are they full time jobs, like can they live solely off the income from the games they make? Or is it just a bit of money for them to make some games in their spare time?

Fact is the man has failed more times then George Broussard, has he even actually finished any of the games he said he was making?

It has been analyzed and discussed why there was hate against Fresch, Interceptor, Me, Reloaded, etc ... there was even an own thread about it.
And we all have read that some people won't buy or play anything they do that others look forward to what, that some hate them, others like them and all that.
Now everything is repeated and repeated and repeated. Meanwhile Interceptor moved forward while these discussion stay the same.
And that's the sad thing about it. Not the content of the discussions, but that it just the same over and over and over again.
But maybe someday I will u nderstand why people waste time with doing the same again and again when it will not have any effect at all in the end.

I'm pathetic? You somehow don't know the difference between two of the most common words in the English language. It's "you're", not "your." I do not own pathetic. Primarily because pathetic is an adjective. One can only possess a noun.
