There is still more to it than what was said here. All facts in this thread are just the things that are known to the public anyways. The rest is disclosed by NDAs.

And by saying "there is more to it" I neither say that GBX needs to take more blame or Interceptor or whatever else might have happened or not. All I am saying is that there is more to it than the "truth" in this thread.

Wolfe spews it all out and has been since page 1 of this thread if anyone goes back and looks, the users that pick his side of things and say I'm the troll are the ones with biased views because of some sort of "reputation" he has around here. Just like he believes his join date and post count on the forums imply he knows best, those users believe it too. They just need to grow the fuck up. Also this all started because he didn't like my post saying Gearbox fucked up this project and sucked ass, makes sense in a Duke community to be getting mad over a known fact right?

Anyway I'm not trolling, I'm wrote the truth, and I will admit I did call him the Musty Stench of this forum, but he has also been attacking newbies in other threads so he needs to grow some balls. So do the people screaming and crying and standing on his side, since he attacks people first. Gearbox are to blame for fucking this fan project up just as much as the other guys, and considering they already fucked up DNF, why the hell does anyone wanna try arguing on their behalf here in the first place ?

This fan project looked a 100x better than that shit Gearbox released, so I don't care how many mistakes the guy behind the project made, the fact was it was still a decent project, and I find it hard to believe the guy behind the project can be a bigger douchewad than Wolfe, so he needs to stop trying to make out that guy was the reason it got fucked over.

thelegend4ever needs to take the advice, not me, and that would be stop acting like a pussywhipped noob and telling other people not to beat the dead horse while completley disregarding the fact Wolfe did it first.

You are severely out of touch with reality. It's also extremely cute that you went back and downvoted my posts in this thread before you ever came in here, while clamoring about how the rep system is no big deal.

I love how you start to talk shit to someone the second they even say something to you that ain't either licking your pussy, or sucking up/taking your side. Whichever. I'm not taking anyone's side, and Wolfe and I have had debates in the past, so please don't act like you know exactly what the deal is. I'm saying the subject n GENERAL is pretty much dead, yet it still continues. And you keep spewing at the mouth saying you "won" a pointless argument. Usually when someone says that, they're in denial about being proven wrong. Not saying you were, but the fact that you act so childish about the whole thing kinda gives it away. All I saw him say was he's shown facts and you haven't. But eh, whatever. A normal person would STFU and keep it movin. Just saying

Someone who constantly meanders about maturity is usually the least mature one. A mark of true maturity is that of doing and acting as one pleases, without needing or feeling the need to give approval.

"Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."

You know, hearing about DN Reloaded just reminds me of that Daikatana remake and how much I'd like that game to be remade.

Fresch was behind that Daikatana remake and I think he had John Romero's permission but Fresch abandoned it due to a lack of interest from other people. He also was behind a SiN remake but that got shut down due to copyright reasons or something.

I'm curious to know if there is anymore progress being made on this project?

Also, since this reloaded version will contain functional multi player does that mean I have to convert all our map files to the unreal engine map editor for them to work? What happens to the map files now that we are using? Will there be a port to upgrade maps to the new format?

Do we have a date in mind when this project will be released publicly? I've got a fever and the only remedy is Duke Death Match

Lol, didn't you hear that it was cancelled ages ago? And what's this about map conversion? You didn't think there would be a process to convert Duke 3D's maps directly to the unreal engine did you? Posted Image

well I was at the guys website today and it sounded like there was still a chance that they could be releasing it. I was just going by his blog which is leading to another post which isn't published yet. I thought the project was promising. Also, people have done engine jumping before. Its just a matter of how much time a programmer is wanting to spend coding for it. Perhaps not a practical move but probably not an impossible one. In fact I think DNF was a victim of this sort of thing. I'm talking more or less for carrying over the geometry of the map not converting the entire map file itself. Not sure why some guy down voted my post. What a loser.

Companies and so on never usually like to directly say that something is cancelled, in order to to anger (ha) the fans. Instead it's always "indefinitely postponed" or some bullshit like that. TX actually got his hands on a playable version of it, and he said relatively little work was done on it compared to how much they said they've done, and how long they'd been working on it. So the general consensus is that it was never going to come out.

Edit: Were you talking about converting the DNF maps or the Duke 3D maps? Converting the Duke 3D maps is hard enough that it is for all intents and purposes impossible to do.

Well thanks Micky, I guess i wont get my hopes up. In a way, i'm glad its not coming out because it would have competed with Eduke. I'm quite happy with the traditional mapping style of Mapster. I don't find those other engines as fun to use, or as quick to use. Also my old maps wouldn't have probably been playable on the unreal engine and we can't have that!!!

On the blog it says at the end of the last post about DN3DR:

"And that was the end of the Duke Nukem Reloaded project."

And that Interceptor now is working on two other and commercial projects instead.

I find it quite clear that there is no more Reloaded.

Don't you dare bring it up at the Gearbox forums. They'll ban you faster than you can say "editing tools".

Are you referring to the fact that there is no Reloaded anymore?

I brought that up twice. Just under a different name. No penalties or infractions. <_<

It's amazing how much the GBX forums are frankly garbage compared to how things were on the 3D Realms forums. I don't much care for George Broussard, but one thing he did do right was to allow people to say pretty much whatever they wanted (excluding piracy related things and other illegal stuff, obviously). There were quite a few times when we wanted someone banned but George wouldn't allow it.
