Anyone here know how to make a cd patch for WH2?

I believe I have the tools at RTCM to do it, but I lack the knowledge as to how.
The tool patchs the exe only and that should do it.
This is the only BUILD Game we need a patch for.

I'd actually just want a patch program. PhotonMan use to make them, but I haven't heard from him in awhile. He released the program he used I believe on RTCM but I don't know how he found the address so quickly. Less than an hour in some cases he turned out a patch program for each game, except WH2.

I think this is the program he used for all the games: http://dukertcm.com/...dukexepatch.zip

I don't know whys its call dukeexepatch when he used it for other games....

I was asked recently about the WH2 patch and the result is since the installer AND setup program are on the CD, and it's required to re-config the game, it is required each time you need to change anything, or test anything. Its a very large fronted/installer and wouldn't be desirable to fix it, or at least no one has yet.

The best that I received was a fixed WH2.EXE and supporting files. The supporting files depend on the configuration you setup on the CD and it writes the specified files to the game directory.

The WH2 fixed package only contains the most likely and best configuration for use on a top end computer(circa 1997) or running DOSBox EMU at its best. It's provided with two CFG files and you can use either one that best fits your style of playing. Again the CD is required to configure the keys.

No need for a WH2 patch anymore as mentioned above. In fact what I mentioned above is an old version of the game and no good for true Witchaven users.

The next best thing is the EGwhaven source code modification, it fixes a lot of bugs and adds proper mouse control. No CD required to be mounted and plays SMK videos from the HD.

Don't forget to send the author feedback.

EDIT: If your still playing the original WH2 use the following command line: WH2 LOCAL
It lets you bypass the CD-ROM check skipping the SMK videos on the CD. (If you still want the SMK videos to play, Place the SMK video files directly in the games root folder.)
