The release date for Postal 3 has been announced! Postal 3 is coming November 3rd. :(
Anyone else here looking forward to Postal 3? I really enjoyed Postal 2 so I can't wait to get my hands on Postal 3.

Here's the Google Translation of the article:

Everyone Postal 3, boys! Seriously!

We tortured fans Postal 3 months, or years! Tormented each other, themselves and their livers. Tormented by a game that does not given. But today, the end of everything! We are ready to announce the release date for Postal 3!

But first, let us remember what happened over the years.

In five of the developers had children, two people involved in the project, and one dog went to a better world, the release date of the project was transferred again 9.

Studio TrashMasters changed three offices, four officers carried out work to overseas companies. Postal 3 was presented at GDC 4, 5 Igromir, 3 and 3 E3 GDC. Received the award for most unusual project in 2010.

Over the years, development has been drunk 69 800 liters of coffee, 56 700 liters of tea, 138, 900 liters of beer. Calculate the number of more hard liquor is not possible because of failures in memory of staff.

Sorry, carried away by transfer our merits. So, drum roll ... ..

November 3 - will be the day of Postal 3!

Save up the money, begging for a game as a gift, wait is not long!

I love Postal, but I don't buy it because RWS hasn't updated their site about it.

Akella also posted the news on their homepage. http://ru.akella.com/News.aspx?id=3030
Perhaps it's the release date for the Russian version? Postal 3 is being developed by TrashMasters which is a Russian development studio so it does make sense that the game could be released in Russia before USA.

Well, the publisher is russian. Perhaps, at first it was publisher(cause nobody else was interested) then publisher suggested co-developer.

The first few times I saw the game when videos first came out, it looked interesting and cool.
Then, as the years went on and videos would slowly pop up, the game looks like it has gotten worse and worse. The first video released looked more polished than some of the latest gameplay videos, and the first one didn't even have much AI
I'll still play it because I loved Postal 2, but it looks like this wont even hold a piss to Postal 2.

Doesn't look too bad, but Postal Dude looks goofy as hell.

This could be the shittiest game ever and I'd still play the hell out of it.

Did that warning say something like "Under 17 cannot play it unless their parents don't give a shit"? That is awesome.

The game looks goofy. Like they took the low quality of Postal 2's production and made it intentional or something. I'll probably play it at some point.

If it doesn't have any seriously bad bugs on release date then I'll get it, otherwise I'll wait until they sort out any huge flaws as I can happily stomach a few little issues (It's Postal after all, the Valve of 'simplistic' development).

Serious Sam 3 one day, and Postal 3 the next. Not bad.

The game looks pretty terrible. Just about every minute a horribly made cut scene pops up and interrupts gameplay, and the gameplay itself looks shit.
Postal 2 was fun and had some charm, albeit a horrible one. But this games just looks terrible. Which sucks, because the original gameplay videos from when it was first announced looked cool.
Also, there's no freeroam. Its strictly mission based.

Yeah, the first few minutes of the game is cutscene loaded (grindhouse style). I don't know about the rest.

No freeroam?... Seriously?

I've finished the game three times, I had alot of fun with it. There are a couple of different endings and depending on what path you take in the levels the next level you play will be different.

Addressing above:
The level shown in that video is the tutorial level, cutscenes just about every 10 seconds to explain game mechanics, the rest of the game isn't like that. Running With Scissors has said that an upcoming patch will add free roam to the game. Multiplayer is also apparently being added sometime in future.

Well then, sounds like the game will be all fine and dandy.

What did happen to Rick Hunter anyway?

Corey Cruise's voice is alright, but he lacks the raspy, psychotic charm of Rick that no one can really match. Corey's renditions of Postal 2 quotes sound kind of dull, lacking the maniacal edge that Rick has.

Apparently Rick Hunter just disappeared and by the time RWS got in contact with him again it was too late for him to do the voice work for Postal 3.

I actually emailed Rick yesterday and he told me that's pretty much it.

Things aren't looking too bright for this game though. The guys at Resurrection Studios aren't too happy about it. In fact, they're pretty damn disappointed, especially one of the main RS devs who was called out to Moscow to work on the multiplayer, only for it to get trashed. The RWS Postal 3 boards are pretty mixed (bug and freeroam complaints) and the Russian media would've prefered a Postal 2 HD.

I hope the patch fixes it up and changes reception, but who knows... I just hope the mainstream media don't get on it before the patch is out.

EDIT: In fact, now that I think about it, the game kind of reminds me of Bad Day L.A...

Considering I'm a fan of the POSTAL series my initial impression with the game was utter disappointment but after having played it for about an hour I found myself having quite a lot of the fun especially with the good/bad path system.

The game has alot of bugs but RWS is actively working to fix them in upcoming patches, regardless of the bugs I managed to have a lot of fun with the game. It's worth tolerating the bugs to enjoy the madness of cat grenades and the badgersaw! :)

Giant Bomb released a quick look video of Postal III.

Due to the mediocrity of the first few missions shown, well... lots of disappointment. Apparently, free roam has already been released in Russian, but not yet in English. Postal 2 was also patched a few times, but things aren't looking good for this game. The ending(s) were sweet though. Lunatics.

Just in case anyone happens to be interested, Postal III has now been properly released on Steam. No need to go to RWS for a Steam key if you want the game via download.
