It's major shit - I went from 'meh' on the whole DLC thing to 'Whoo-hoo!' when reading it. Not really detailed, but skip if you don't want to read generic details.

I don't think any of this was in those leaked documents, however, original details from way back in the earliest stages of DNF made mention of Dr. Proton. So this is likely been planned for quite a while, in house at 3DR, if only on paper.

Yes he was, he was in several of the original Quake engine screens and concept art.
