Nobody plays online. :D
The server browser is empty. I tried to host a game on my own pc waiting for 20 minutes and nobody came.
Quick matchmaking also didn't found anybody.
There is nobody to play with.

I think people are still playing the single-player campaign. I'm not gonna touch the dm mode until I'm done with sp.

I never tried browsing for servers.
I just press Quick Match, and i get into full matches all the time.
To me it seems like there are a lot of people playing online. B)

Anyone knows if the bloody pirates will be able to get in the servers? It all seems that they are a bigger bunch than us legit buyers.

It's very likely. The game isn't VAC secure and has no anti-cheat/hacking protection whatsoever. Pirate versions of Borderlands worked online, and actually had better latency than retail.

It's going to sound dumb, but you are not blocking DNF with a firewall etc?

My firewall never appeared telling me that its blocking the game.
I have the standard Windows XP firewall.

I played up until Duke burger yesterday but in offline mode. Couldn't stay online for some strange reason. Tonight I'll try again in online model to get achievements from the start.

Anyone knows if the extra videos show up with the steam version? or only the CD?

Quick match worked flawlessly for me. Lots of action.

The extra videos are not readily aviliable on the disc, but compressed or something. I could only find them in the "steamapps/common/duke nukem forever" folder after installing the game. They're in .bik format though, but probably viewable in-game after unlocking somehow.

Since the game is mostly P2P, you need to open the ports the game uses in order to get results. Your being blocked by your router/firewall. You need to add exceptions for Duke.

I just played multiplayer, in duke burger, from a sydney server.. fuckin' sons a biches at first make it tough to get anywhere but ya'll learn the harsh tactics needed with time..
devastator try hards keep getting ya @ spawning spots... and to go from the start with pistol, it can be a challenge to get better guns without dying.. But there are cool tactics i used to show em' :dukecry:
Like tripmines in arkward places, and killing shrunk duke's with the microwave machine!
if ya wanna match just add me coheedandcambria82 over @ steam thanks, :D

I found out what was wrong:

DNF's server browser shows only local servers in your city/town by default.
And it uses the info that you register in Steam's settings to find out where you live.
So basically that means that I barely founded servers last days because all servers out of my city wouldn't show.
Now I changed my city on Steam, and I get many servers. :D

Well I think that the Server-Browser is straight out of hell... It's so slow.

I saw someone playing today named Keyser Soze but I figured it wasn't you since the spelling was different.

That's pretty asinine. So I have to manually change my steam setting every time to pick different cities and only see servers near those cities?

Well, that's a kick in the nuts. I hope they get off their arses and make dedicated servers soon.
