Oh come, this can't be the solution. Using third party software instead of simply enabling the very basics for us (like developer console).

Fuck you Gearbox!

Fuck you Gearbox!

You don't need it permanently. You just ignite the dev log with it ONCE, you enable the dev console from the dev log and then you can forget about it.

Does it mean it writes into the ini file the console key and after that it's available?

I am just registering to their official forums so I can contact that author of this tool and ask him how in the fuck has he figured this shit out and what did he do to trick the retail version...
Will be back with more answers here if I find out more.

Do you honestly think Deviance would post an untested app that he wants so badly with the words fuck yeah! if it didn't work?

Even if the game was fucked up in development Duke has such a loyal fanbase they will fix the game themselves and make it good.
Thumbs up for that.

Rate me down all you want.
All I did last days was stating the obvious: that they give us the bare minimum and they made lots of bad decisions in making this game. Some said I was bashing the game questioning my love for Duke but I didn't. I just loved Duke in such a way that I demanded his game to be betterly executed.
Now go on and rate down my comment once more...

Hehe. :D
You know what ?
After I played the demo I thought that there where some problems that really needed to be fixed, and I guessed that Gearbox wasn't going to fix them,so I thought that Gearbox should release mod tools ASAP so we the fans of Duke can make it more enjoyable.
We could make an unofficial patch to fix various bugs, texture packs to improve graphics,etc..
That would be very positive for the game IMO and would add them more PC version sales.
But it seems they go the other way around which is something bad, and it seems this time I'm not the only one thinking that this decision is bad.

If I can just use an app to add console in i'll be happy.

It says the program can't start because MSVCP100.dll is missing from my computer. I'm running windows 7 and run it with admin privileges, what did I do wrong? Posted Image

Post pics of this working. Unless they updated it in the last 24 hours it was only designed for the demo version.

yeah, what i meant is that it stopped complaining about missing dll and launches. you seem to be able to tweak the FOV and disable the DOF, but i am not able to bring up the actual dev console.

It enables the devlog window only - you may have to alt tab or run it minimized to see it... the actual in-game console is missing some assets it seems.

You can still do all you need to do at the devlog "console"

Demo version support was replaced by full version support.

What about all the modifications people have made to the demo? Like the classic style devastator and stuff. Is that all still possible in the full version?

I still can't believe they broke the console.

So that's what the patch was for. But 570 mb for a console? Nah...

I saw that over at the Gearbox forums and thought that was pretty cool actually. I must say that I'm amazed at how quickly people are finding out about the game and doing stuff already. Makes me wonder what we'll see from the community in the future!

Wow that is awesome. Sadly, the full game is built anti mods it seems. I think the demo might actually become the full game we were waiting for if gearbox keeps this shit up...

Too bad editing the FOV and vehicle POV in the console log doesn't save it once you quit the game.

Guess it's time to wait until Gearbox releases modding tooaahahaha I can't finish writing that sentence.
