Wait for the final game about the violence or gore.
The guys that played the leaked russian DNF said it wasn't toned down at all.
They also said this will be one of the most violent games of the year.

Good to know, let's hope that we can maybe see what they're talking about.

Hey first time posting here but i wanted to ask you.
Have our russian friends said anything about the level design?
Lot of people wondering if its going to be as linear as the demo was or will there be a bit more exploration

Well i saw a comment being made that it does remind them of Duke3D at times.

Spoiler

Well specifically i was asking if there were indeed multiple paths to a objective kind of how in DN3D you ould eitther go through the back or blow up the front entrance
Its that sort of thing that people were expecting out of the demo imo

Doesn't this go under the spoilers section?

There are multiple ways, the game is not THAT linear most people are pointing out from a 10 minute demo.
I think you should ask Yatta, i can't really trust comments of people that played a leaked version of the game.

Nobody can play the Russian leak at the moment, people have unpacked the whole game but it's still encrypted.

Well i did see some comments that stated they have played it.
Strangely enough, new screens are posted on the internet and i saw a video of the leaked game.
I did not watch it, i don't like watching walkthroughs of games when i can't play it.

Their source is probably not the Russian leak, a console version perhaps. Anyway, it's pointless to censor the gore and still leave gibbing more or less intact, not to mention the EDF guy spraying blood from his leg. Makes no sense really, not to mention it looks much worse and the game as it is doesn't exactly need that.

Gearbox just got what 3D Realms had already made, they aligned the levels and fixed some bugs.
That's all they did.
It's obvious that the levels missing from the final game are the levels that where 0% finished by 3D Realms.
Gearbox just corrected some things in what they already had in their hands, they didn't started making whatever 3D Realms had planned but never even started working on...

But you forget about the 15 SP level DLC in pack 3. I'm sure they plan on adding the missing parts they just didn't want us to wait till it was finished.

I'm okay with this, sort of... because 15 maps is pretty much an expansion pack, and from what I hear... the game is awfully long already. So I'd pay 15$ for 15 extra levels, if they are the size of 15 in the retail product, being as there is only 10 more in the full version, this is kind of a deal.... but we'll see what they price it at, and how long they actually are before we jump to this conclusion... seems logical though, so far.
