this is article about that Duke thumbnail that was released in january. The illustration has nothing to do with actual game IMO, its just illustration.

that's the render of duke that was shown on the pc gamer cover in 1999 when 3dr released 10(or was it 11?) screenshots.

it has been posted a handful of times since then on things like news stories or articles having to do with duke or dnf.

In short, that pic stretches back in 1999... But it's still cool...
Not like it's supposed to represent him as his in-game form though (that would have been too awesome for a +1999 game)
