This reminded me of the conversation about video game addiction.

The english version should be Super Minecraft Kid, but since Super Minecraft Kid is a clear fake based on Sammyclassicsonicfan, I'll post Sammyclassicsonicfan.

I still remember this one time when a drunk guy almost assaulted me, then the next day he kindly apologized.

Another vinyl update. I thought I was done with vinyl, but apparently not.

I think I had my best vinyl haul yet. Got all this stuff for less than a buck each. The best part is, 90% of those records are in perfect condition and unplayed. Lots of stuff by The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Dire Straits, Led Zeppelin...

Also got these. Not for a buck, but still cheap.

You probably are now, because I'm pretty sure that's all the vinyls in Russia.

I think Stargate SG-1 might be coming to Blu-ray soon.

Couldn't find a decent comparison shot, but here we go:

DVD (upscaled to 1080p): Posted Image

Blu-ray: Posted Image

The black pattern on Teal'c's jacket really stands out. The zipper and other things too. Looks pretty good for something that was shot on 16mm film (first three seasons).

It's about time. Film is just better than standard VHS tape. Star Trek TOS looks great on Bluray too.

AFAIK, unlike X-Files, SG-1's effect shots were done on 35mm film, not 480i video. So there shouldn't be much work to put it on Blu-ray/HD. Just rescan, edit, and put it all together.

Season 8-10 were shot and edited digitally, in at least HD resolution. Doing some more digging, the HD camera they used to shoot the seasons (Sony F-900) only had a resolution of 1080p.

There is some more shots, but they were scaled down.

Hopefully they won't have any missing film like X-Files did.

I just regret not buying Children of the Gods, Continuum, and Ark of Truth on Bluray. Only have DVDs. Have the Bluray collection of Atlantis, though. In the end that's all I really care about anyway...

I have Atlantis on Blu-ray, as well as the two movies.

On Facebook I've been seeing memes where the names of various games are attached to stills from Spongebob. I present my entry for Duke Nukem 3D:

Oh, great, so that's what I have to look forward to.

Meh, I'm almost done migrating Cakewalk 9 and my PhotoImpact parameters back to a Win98SE which runs such things better (and faster) anyway, so I'll just allow the upgrade soon because Windows 10 beats the shit out of Windows 7 anyway.

The kernel is waaay nicer, but it's one big fucking Orwellian nightmare otherwise.

Well, I guess I hit a nerve with somebody. Just think, all that effort abusing the voting system, abusing the deletion feature and acting like an asshole and all you needed to do was stay calm and admit you fucked up. I'll just leave these here;

Make of it what you will, I don't really care to be honest.

All I see is a bunch of mancuntery both ways. A whole lot of fuss over something that should have been a non-issue. But, that's just my opinion.

I've never deleted a post that wasn't "Delete Me" or "Double Post" or just spam in general (which doesn't happen very often anyway) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah, I probably did ram the issue a bit harder than I needed to... But then, it didn't need to exist in the first place, so it ain't my problem.

And then you took your whining to the Post Thread where you can be downvoted even more. Congratulations! You are a bona fide dipshit. But unlike you, I really don't care.

My GTX 670 bit the dust today. Had to get a new card. So I went the cheap route and got a GTX 950 to tide me over until I build my new system.

All those things I posted about a few months ago regarding the screen randomly going black (driver stopped responding), none of the HDMI ports were working on the monitors (no signal with three different cables on each DVI & HDMI port on the card), was the harbinger of my card's destruction.

The new card runs pretty well. I haven't tested it with everything though. Extremely cool compared to the GTX 670 (55-68 C at load vs 74-88 C). Depends on the game though.
