This is my first post in this thread. Don't mind me, I ignored all the previous posts as well.

I just noticed that I may be breaking laws by posting a picture of my monitor showing the NFC championship game...

I'd like to point out that I recently learned that there are some really trippy movies on NetFlix...They have a freaking "Vampires" section and...well, reading the descriptions these things are B movies but that lower brain wants to see them.

Not all of us can have a liquor cabinet...some of us are poor undergraduate students
#881 Posted 26 January 2010 - 09:37 AM
I still had something similar (although smaller) when I was an undergraduate.
One night out = $1 bottle of whisky (at least)
so I said to myself, each missed night out = one bottle bought.
You know it makes financial sense!!
And it isn't a liquor cabinet (unfortunately) that's the cupboard under the stairs... there's tools on the shelf above and paint on the shelf underneath.

It is a cabinet of sorts of liquor...but yeah.
Also, I tend to stick with beer but as of late I've been wanting something to sip on instead of something to drink. I like Red Stag so I bought a bottle for the 2nd time or something. I am just taking it straight this time around because I don't feel like picking up Dr.Pepper or something. And if my brother comes up to town this weekend, I know the bottle will be gone so I ought to save it.

Ah, they don't sell Red Stag here (I assume it is a Jim Bean expression) we get regular JB here, but I much prefer Four Roses.
I know what you mean about saving it, same thing happened to a bottle of sazerac last time I saw my brother.

Yeah, Red Stag is a black cherry Jim Beam. It is pretty good.
The other day when I was in the liquor store I was thinking about diversifying my bottle collection but I couldn't decide on anything and went with Red Stag since it was like a buck or two cheaper than Jack Daniels.

Did that test generate energy for hour/years/centuries/millenia?

In theory, it would.
They haven't actually ignited anything yet but the test was to show that they could. The fact that they are confident that they could ignite a fusion reaction is incredibly exciting. The ability to create a power source like a star is something that could change the way humanity progresses. The immense efficiency of fusion is something that would change the way we generate electricity and even could change the way to travel (to/in space).

Religion will get in the way, I bet ya.

My money is actually on it becoming a military tool first and then they consider how to implement it in the public services...only to form a committee on what type of committee to use to talk about making a committee that will begin planning on how to begin constructing test plants. In other words, politics and bull shit will get in the way before religion will.
I haven't actually heard much in the way of religious zealots interfering with science lately. I mean, when was the last time a crazy blew himself up at the LHC? Religious fanatics are too busy making money and talking about how Haiti made a deal with the devil to bother with stopping the evils of science...or the ones crazy enough don't have the balls to stand up to the relatively sane majority which is only crazy enough to talk about it being an evil.

To bump the post thread with a double post...
I typed "Duke4" in the location bar and didn't select a auto-we-know-what-you-are-thinking site so it went to a search page.
