That emoticon is actually dubious. I haven't seen it being used as "sad".

Um...wow...just wow. I am really confused about that...I am not sure how I feel about it. Do I want to see more? Am I horrified? Am I hungry?

I know the feeling. Surely does suck. Sorry to hear that man.

Thanks for the sentiments, guys. I'm really heartbroken over the whole thing and I guess it helps to know others have felt the same pain. I think my other cat might know the one is dead now because he's been acting a bit down himself. :(

Sorry to hear that man. I've lost 3 cats and 1 dog in my time :( I know how it feels :(

The relationship axiom "Never go to bed angry" has been proven true tonight to me. I always kind of understood the premise, but tonight I see it first hand: never rage quit a discussion with a significant other, it will just make things worse. Talking through the issue and taking time to state perspectives and sort through everything...and then end with smiles and jokes.

...or someone would say "I don't want to discuss this any further" and the problem will reappear over and over again. It is similar to rage quiting, but without the rage, which makes it more annoying.

I'm a numbskull. My bro's gf gave me $3 and told me to go get what I heard in my mind soup as "2% milk". So I drive my ass to the gas station pick it up. It costs $3.75 so I grab a dollar out of my wallet. I get back, and she wanted a 2 liter of Coke.

She wanted to make my bro a rum and coke after a hard ass day at the job.

She can make him an irish coffee instead then.

I should be doing my "hello world" tomorrow and popping my programming cherry. Here's hoping I don't somehow mess it up.

20 years old in just over a month's time, can't say I'm jumping for joy over it. If all goes as planned then there might be a redeeming factor, otherwise it'll just be tediously unpleasent for me.

Turned on my air conditioner this morning and fried one of my monitors. The monitor was plugged into my UPS which is supposed to regulate the current of electricity. The air conditioner is plugged into a different outlet on the other side of the room.

Yeah you wouldn't want to wake up to find out that your dick is being flushed down the toilet or something like that.

What;s the point in plugging monitor in the UPS? Or is it plugged into special "bypass" output just for regulating the voltage?

Somehow I doubt "don't go to bed angry" axiom was about that kind of outcome.

He also could have gone the "don't beat and rape your wife until she cuts your cock off" route. ;)
