Well let's just say one night Alan got drunk and mistakenly took my mother for a hot chick. In reality she is an older, ugly woman. Not sure who the joke is on here.

So, does this place go down for half an hour at 3AM US Eastern? (something like midnight Pacific)
#491 Posted 04 October 2009 - 04:25 PM
...so are you going to post in the "Why did you get banned from 3DR" (and TLI) thread?
#492 Posted 04 October 2009 - 08:12 PM
He did? I remember his post in Post Thread. But did he get banned for that?!
#494 Posted 06 October 2009 - 04:55 AM
Scotty, no; I'm not. I suppose temp bans are worth posting about, but I don't think it is worth talking about.

Are you calling the school all study related "things" from school to college and university? Cause you're kind of old for school, buddy.

1) I graduate University this May.
2) I am going to graduate school which will easily take another 6-10 years out of my life...but I'll enjoy it.

Are you at least gonna get paid for this shit? 6-10 years of life... Well, if you enjoy it, that's not a waste.
Many, it seems, have big plans for their remaining lives.

I don't plan on paying for school if that is what you mean by being paid
I have no plans of making money in my life....I was banking on marrying a rich woman but recently I have stopped caring about relationships...

No, that was not what I meant.

Then... what are you planning to do before you die?

Marry a rich woman. I'm not "looking" right now. If something(some one?) falls into my lap on the other other hand...
The way some graduate schools work in the US is you get accepted to a program and you are given a few thousand dollars a year (I have seen 10-15 thousand for my area of studies. Richer programs give more money) to live off of and study. $10,000 is about how much I make now with a on campus job but there are also adjustments here or there that will alter how much I spend a year (namely something stupid like television bills). Depending on where I end up, I could get a job on the side like I do now in tech support either on campus or off. A living stipend and housing is enough to live off of, but things like a car or leisures are obviously things that will take me over budget. I will have to stop eating out so often if I want to live off of less than $10K a year in any of the cities I am looking at.
As a general rule, I look at things as they will work out in the end. I'm not worried.

This is the post thread. I am posting.

After I check the oil in my van again and then call to explain to the auto insurance of the idiot who hit me that I don't have time in regular working hours to go to their place for them to assess the damage of my vehicle, I am heading to visit my brother at his bachelor pad for a weekend of exciting times (with Bourbon and Margaritas).

I'm suspending my cynicism. If things go right, I'll be starting ECPI on November 2nd. Trying for an Associates Degree in Computer and Information Sciences, which includes application, web and database development, as well as network security.

Working on getting my data moved from Microsoft Money (which those pigfuckers at Microsoft discontinued this summer) to Quicken.
I could've paid MS another $40-60 in June before the sales cutoff date to maintain access to online services (which expire in 3 days for me) but I felt that would be rewarding bad behavior, so now I have 3 days to get my ass in gear and get my data migrated.

Re-installed Windows XP Prof on my PC. Also took time to make things a bit more secure making my main account with user privileges. Then created user account for home guests who would want to browse internets. Hopefully, it's all secure and shit with those measures. Too bad I forgot about browser bookmarks. Lots of interesting links were there. I'll survive, though.
