I am referring to the Hebrew doctrine. I think this has not changed in over 3k years. Ironic, it was a very educated Rabbi that converted me from Born Again Christian to atheist, he is still shocked. I love him anyways, he is a good man.

Omg how did he do that Hank? Lol, religion is truly in the last lap of the race if converters end up taking away your faith.

Lol, simple. If I can change my god, is there one in the first place? btw, I like your new avatar! Very original.

The problem was that you were a "born again Christian" which explains why you think switching from "Christianity" to Judaism is changing your God. Seriously, if I didn't have some sense of moral judgment and fear of legal repercussions, I'd burn down a mega church while they are getting their Jesus on...that shit is so fake it is disgusting.*

*I say this as a student of the Bible and person of religious conviction (just not for Born Again Christians or mega church Christians)

One of my just in case messages!

To Mr. Flibble: I think that was a good thing. I moved from Jehovah's Witness to Roman Catholic to Presbyterian. I studied the bible since I could read, and I will never forget that moment when I finally seen the light. That day counts right after loosing my virginity, of one of my happiest days. Why? Because now I can still love my fellow Christians and Jews and Muslims and Buddhists and what not, not because of what they believe in but for what they are - people.

I think that if God truly was loving and forgiving, he'd forgive me for not wanting to associate with dumbasses.

You aren't "born again" unless you are "saved" and I know Catholics aren't saved...according to anyone, really.

However, CA makes a good point: if God is loving and forgiving, he won't care if you don't practice religion so long as you are a good person and embrace his invitation after you bite the dust.

I truly hope so, otherwise he'd be diametrically opposed to logic and reason. Religion has really done itself in. Hypocrisy has run rampant for centuries.

What I hate about religion is that for hundreds of years, it fed off of the ignorance of the dark ages, and ACTIVELY SUPPRESSED SCIENTIFIC ADVANCEMENT. What was the name of the forbidden tree that Adam and Eve paid the price for eating from? The Tree of Knowledge.

Who knows how much more advanced our society could have been, we could be using iPhone 7s, visiting other planets, and playing Duke Nukem 23.

Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil...not the Tree of Knowledge. There is a huge difference...I mean, we are not just talking apples and oranges here; more like potatoes and acorns.

Also, Duke Nukem Forever is cursed, it will never come out. This has been foreknown since the dawn of time. Much like the Chicago Cubs and the elusive (3rd) World Series, DNF's development team must make a massive blood sacrifice to some deity in order for their dreams to come to fruition.

I have no post worthy comment on your "advanced society" that you speak of. We sacrifice babies and are slaves to technology.

Politcs and religion, hot topics, still cain't resist not.

There is not one single verse in either the Bible or Quran, I know of, that stops anyone from thinking. Were it not the rulers of that day using religion to maintain the status quo? Do they still? I think that it's now in the mass media. It tells you what is right and what is wrong. iPhone is just another way to communicate that message, whatever that message is. Where is the progress? I quote my hero: Two things are infinite; the Universe and human stupidity - and I'm not sure about the former. Einstein said that about sixty years ago, and I think it still holds true.

And DNF will be out, actually it is out, way out there with all the others ...

As I was watching Stargate Atlantis tonight, I noticed someone who looked familiar. I said, oh my god, that's Bill Nye the Science Guy.

I've never watched any of his shows, but I know the jingle, it's so catchy!

Also, I've been promoted to Pig Cop Recon due to getting 900 posts, but I don't want it, any name with 'pig' in it just seems a bit undignified to me

Only 100 posts to go until I'm a Battle Lord

Yep, he played himself, too. Rodney even called him "science guy" in his usual wonderful sarcastic tone. I love that show.

Turn out your lights. So my neighbour says. There is no need for Christmas lights after ten. Why? Because they are in bed by that time. We never sleep, so lights stay on. Save the planet. Fuck the planet, if it can't handle a little lights. She is not impressed, nor her hubby. What a shame. Grumpy folks should hibernate, methinks, what a beautiful night and they want it all dark and waste it away sleeping.

Quickly looked it up on youtube and I instantly recognized the episode: the one where they're all trapped in a facility and the temperature is dropping to dangerous levels because the heat's getting sucked through a space-time tunnel or something. It was a good episode, I didn't realize Bill Nye played such a big role in it, I thought he'd only made a cameo.

How would you feel if you found out that your federal political representative makes 3 times the average income of your country?

@ Mr.Flibble

Me as me, very jealous. Me as them, indifferent. When you are very poor, I think, you are more worried on how to feed your wife and kids than who is how rich.

b.t.w. I thought Lotan forbade any talk about religion, sex and stuff like that? Do we follow his/her request?

I don't follow orders from anyone...except that really hot chick with the leather and the whip. Don't want to anger the mistress.

Careful what you wish for, it might actually happen, while at the same time you discover you're in an alternate reality where there's no such thing as mirrors
