As a kitten, my cat would twang those doorstops all the time. Now she doesn't touch them at all. Even with my coaxing. I guess the thrill is gone.

if this is what your cat is eating & is still showing significant signs of arthritis, maybe look into a brand that has glucosamine, as well as fish oil
