For anyone that ever wondered about that film I sent to be developed, it came back and the photos are from a holiday I took in 2008... They suck, but it's nice to have them and feels good to have gotten 28 photos from a 24 film, my Halina is awesome!
Thinking I was done with film, today whilst finding a spot for a computer to live I moved a junk box out of the way that has never been opened since around 2004, figuring I didn't remember what was in it I decided to take a look. I found a load of old big-box DOS and Windows stuff including expansion packs for Flight Sim 5 but also discovered a load of used 110 films in the bottom of the box that I never got developed. I have no idea what is on them and nobody around here does 110 film.
Wondering if I can do it myself, given that I don't much care about their contents, it could be fun to try and if I mess it up I haven't really lost anything. Back when I used film, everyone used to bash on me for using 110, it was hard to find too, should have known it would catch up with me one day. In fact I seem to remember when everyone stopped developing them around the time my smaller 110 camera gave up on life, which explains why I still have these, it sucks.
The films would be from between 1999 and 2004, so I suspect the contents of one film is probably a neighborhood I lived in for a while, maybe people I used to know back then and pictures of my dad's house that I lived in before that. Another I think is from a school trip I went on, but beyond that I have no idea.
Edit: Also found a huge stack of compact cassette tapes. The first one I put in contains a distorted voice (presumably mine) followed by the redbook audio from the Shadow Warrior CD. I remember doing this because my CD Player shared an input with the PC but I still had a poxy tape deck around, the CD Audio on the computer I had back then didn't work and it was my way of hearing music in the game.
The recording quality sucks. How dare ten-year-old me give no thought to production value with this stuff!
Edit 2: That don't impress me much... ffs, that's all I need, UK Top 40 from 1997, great, now the neighbors probably think I listen to Shania Twain
Edit 3: Soundtrack to Duke Nukem II and a bunch of classical music on the other side. The DN2 stuff sounds weird, I still have the sound card I used back then, ES688, might have to put that in a machine and see if it really sounded like that.
