They also need to get SG-1 on Blu-ray too. They have all the film and effect shots in HD, although the first 3 seasons (minus the final episode of season 3) were shot using 16mm film. Some claim, this is not high enough resolution to put something on Blu-ray. However, there have been films shot on 16mm film released on Blu-ray. So who knows.

I've also heard rumors that they may also be remastering 24 for Blu-ray as well. It was shot on 35mm film, but mastered on 2K video tape (roughly 1080p resolution). They are going to bring it up to 4K resolution soon.

Really could use The Simpsons on Blu-ray as well. Those DVDs look ancient compared to the stuff out now. By that I mean it wasn't mastered well. Lots of color noise (rainbows), blockyness, and other stuff. A good mastered show like 24 looks quite well on DVD still. I'm not in a big rush to get that on Blu-ray, but it's nice they are working on it.

Seems they are going to broadcast it first, then release the first season on Blu-ray a few months later. Last I heard, the first season should be on Blu-ray sometime this Spring. Don't have an exact date.

Seems like the only good thing that came out of NZ was the scenery of the LOTR movies. Almost everything else seems pretty worthless.
