It's less about looking good and more about looking 'nostalgically shitty'. I have plans to get this working with eFX so I can enjoy modern DX11 games with that blurry Voodoo look butchering detail to hell and back. A Glide wrapper with GLSL postprocessing would be nice also...

Seriously, Google destroyed Youtube functionality in an attempt to force people to migrate to Google+. The problem is that Google+ has nothing to offer, it only exists because Facebook is making money, and they want it too. So if you have a Google account, you will be constantly nagged with Google+ in intrusive ways.
I find it hilarious that it is said to be one of the largest social networks. That would be the same as saying that a prison is a popular place because there is a lot of people in there. You are forced to join Google+ (if it is not done without concern), and you can't delete it without deleting your Youtube account too.

Nope.
I've accidentally clicked the intrusive Google+ invitation ads twice now and both times I was able to "delete" Google+ without destroying my YouTube or Gmail accounts.
Edit: What they have done now though is require Google+ to comment on YouTube videos which sucks a lot.

Oh, and in addition to that, I made a cool $50 fixing computers. Even convinced them to upgrade to an SSD from their old hard drive (notebooks had 5400 RPM drives, regular desktop had a 7200 RPM drive). I wasn't trying to push it, but they thought that in the long run it'd be worth it.
