Do you smoke? "Cigs?"

Yes, a lot, especially in public places where it is stupidly banned in my country.
#7 Posted 27 January 2011 - 02:33 PM
I don't smoke. Only one in my family who has never tried it. Although they've all quit now.
#8 Posted 27 January 2011 - 03:01 PM
No. I used to and I voted yes, since most of my life I did smoke, a lot. And I still miss my beloved cigars. I'm still in danger to pick up that habit again.
#10 Posted 27 January 2011 - 05:43 PM
Wow. Double quoting.
I've smoked a cigar and I've done a hookah. I don't smoke cigarettes though. Never really wanted to.

I've tried a cigar before. It was alright. Being that me mum has lung cancer, and I have asthma, I don't have much interest in smoking.
#13 Posted 27 January 2011 - 09:14 PM
If you smoke a cigar right (and a hookah for that matter) you don't inhale. Good cigars apparently have a nice taste. I haven't had a good cigar...that I smoked correctly anyway. I may or may not have taken a puff from a Cuban once...but you didn't hear it from me.
#14 Posted 27 January 2011 - 09:19 PM
One is not meant to inhale a cigar, only taste.
I am having a smoke as we speak anyhow.

Yah you are not supposed to inhale the smoke. Still doesn't prevent black lungs.
#16 Posted 28 January 2011 - 05:20 AM
Depends. If you live in Canada you smoke inside, and no matter if you inhale or not the smoke stays in the room and you breath it in. If you live in warmer climates, the windows are usually open.
You can get black lungs just by living in major metropolitan places. Worst place I've been in is Mexico City and LA. You don't need cigars, there is smog all over, and it tastes like super shit.

Where I live our lungs end up a variety of colors, I live next to a Dump, Electro Furnace, Power Station and two Industrial Estates, not to mention I am on a main road full of trucks and building works/demolition and a bunch of other stuff.
Seriously, if you leave something outside, it WILL get a black sooty coating on it that smells like raw cocoa (horrible) so I think my smoke is healthier than the normal air here.

I saw a picture of 2 sets of lungs.
1, city dweller not heavily polluted city but average city, they are normal color with little black dot/spots.
2, smoker lungs are tarry black and like soaked in oil *gross* [e puke .

I'm OK, so I don't smoke. Smokers and alcohol drinkers are all kinda idiots)
#22 Posted 29 January 2011 - 07:20 AM
I wouldn't put them on one ladder. Smoking doesn't influence your behavior as drastic as alcohol might.

Alcohol (in moderation) can increase your life expectancy. Cigarettes can't say the same thing.

Wrong.
Also, if you smoked, you'd be blacklunged. Witty.

I actually thought of writing that when I clicked on the tread right now, you stole my joke, even though there is no way you could have known, you stole my joke!
Oh, and yeah, alcohol can extend your life if you do not overindulge in it, the same goes for bathing in cold water - which I personally rather enjoy.

Alcohol offers heart benefits in addition to giving a person a more social and mentally healthy life style. Of course, that is assuming that a person drinks in moderation and socially.
