Are there any highlight points you can jot down? I'm having a hard time focusing on the interview, much of what I've already heard before.

No new info, just lots of talking basically.
Wouldn't really recommend anyone watch it.

Actually there is new info in this interview (for me at least).
This interview just showed me that the Senior Producer is a very shy and nerdy girl that is amazed at how DNF is waay different from Bioshock at which she worked until now.
I've also learned that the Senior Producer of DNF is clueless about Duke Nukem Forever but she's happy to be part of it anyway, because it's very popular...

So to sum it up.
With the help of this interview, I did learn that the Senior Producer of Duke Nukem Forever, represents the absolute definition of people that end up having the wrong job by being in the wrong place at the right time.

I've also learned that some black people that don't have a clue about DNF but do like, muscly, white, blond, macho action heroes, get to interview the Senior Producer of DNF and ask dumb questions that already had all the answers known, while at the same time hitting on every woman in that studio(with the exception of the Senior Producer) while probably thinking that he's funny and cool...

10/10

except that i don't have particular views or bias on skin color , im not western :(

Pretty much similar what i intended in the comments of the first interview.

The 2K "senior producer" doesn't produce anything , more like a manager directing things at 2K QA / box cover / manual / marketing ..etc and reporting to the head of 2K about milestones. Pretty much doesn't decide anything on whatever about the game , from content to dedicated servers or not etc ... , publishers just make pressure on developers what to do , generally more in form of ideas which are most of the time business driven than anything else. And if they have a "cool" idea of supporting KINECT than that's the kind of thing gearbox has to avoid listening.

Don't mind him, he's just trolling as always. As they say "empty vessels make the most noise".

I did find that the interviewer did try and make it very clear that he was black, which made the interview seem a bit stupider than it should have been. Kind of like translating a Dracula movie int a black format and calling it Blackula. Just because he's black, doesn't mean he has to make it part of the interview.

Not from the west either and I don't have a skin color bias either.
I just couldn't help but notice the awkwardness and all the cringe moments of that fail interview.

Holoduke was confirmed as being in the demo at PAX, but no one has found him yet.

when you use the holoduke, Duke (the player) becomes camouflaged. i didn't know this.

by camouflaged i figure they mean "invisible" to A.I, but in multiplayer when players use this, i hope you will be able to spot them, so it will work like the crysis stealth suit function.

I suspect he won't be invisible that long. Just several seconds after deploying holoduke. Because then everyone would use this as an invisibility item.

Don't pay any attention to him. He's an Ass Kisser. He gets cranky when he can't find his Cherry Flavored Chapstick.

Just another interview. So that what know? 20? I'm beginning to ask myself if this game is worth the wait.

So... after 13 years only now(when the game is actually coming) you're asking yourself if DNF is worth the wait?

P.S. You, Striker and Jeager please stop this bickering.

hopefully it works that way, but if it means you can just use it for "invisibility" a game mechanic like that won't really hurt the game i think (for me at least), it's just i know how a lot of people feel when it comes to duke and "stealth" :( .

People with the right job in the right place did not finish DNF in 13 years. Many jobs are done best by people who are not too nerdy about their goals.

Actually, 3DR's problem was that only a FEW of the people were in the right place, those being the people who made the actual game content.

The people in charge, however, were all fucked up until the very last minute (which was too late).

i wouldn't say "best". The word you re looking for is "faster". And that doesn't account for the product's quality.

Gearbox isn't doing anything faster. 3DR would have Duke out at the same time Gearbox will, the only difference is that we would still be in the dark. It's just that 3DR ran out of money and T2 ran out of patience.

In fact 3DR IS still bringing us the game, as Triptych. The only thing Gearbox seems to be doing is giving them office space, and after Duke is completed they will likely be sent packing. Hell even the components that weren't finished and the porting duties were outsourced to Piranha!

So best isn't the word, and faster isn't the word. Better is the word, but only in the context of leadership and project organization.

Don't Pay any attention to him. He is just a Angry Pussy.

As for Lotan's comment. You would think that after they announced the Game would be released, they would of done things differently then what they are doing now. If randy was truly a fan fist, he would of been dishing out some cool stuff like video clips, screenshots and what not. Maybe not on a daily bases but at least 2 times every two weeks. IMO I feel they Rushed the PAX Expo without thinking about the ESRB and other things they are having problems with. I've said that History is repeating itself when it comes to this game. Ok, I may of been out of line but maybe I didn't explain it well. I should of said, if you believe in Curses. That all the shit that the game went through since 97 were just temporal blows to the nuts, which piled together to create one big pile of bad mojo. Gearbox has a chance to break the curse but as I see it, they are just adding their own batch of bad mojo and thats when it will blow in their faces. Example of what I'm trying to say is. If they continue to treat DNF as they have been doing. The Curse will create chains of events that will later cause Randy to say. "You know, the graphics still look a little sloppy. I think we should scrap it and redo it."

Randy wouldn't pull that shit...I hope. He isn't George, he's been on the outside this whole time like the rest of us. He's waited just as long, he owes Duke his career, and it's time for all of our bets to pay off. Randy wouldn't be dumb enough to continue the shit pulling 3D Realms kept up for over a decade...hopefully. As far as the ESRB goes in my imagination, it'd be amazing/worrying to have a DNF v ESRB (Or something or other) case be taken all the way to the Supreme Court. It'd be a case about what Freedom of Speech is currently twisted into, and the right to have access to possibly offensive content in entertainment.

IRL, they'd probably let it go with an M rating, or possibly make it so AO games don't mean "No retail 4 u".

The last thing we need is another court case, dude.

That's once a week, and even that's far more often than I see most developers release media. Even then, most of the time they are interviews.

So, I don't see Gearbox doing anything wrong, nor do I see them doing anything outside of the norm of what any other company would do.

I've been waiting since 1999, I don't see any issue with waiting till Christmas or early 2011. (Hell, I think it would be hilarious if the early DNF access came out Christmas time, as a special Christmas gift from Gearbox. Christmas is closer than you think, and November will pass by as if it were nothing.)

I really don't think that is going to happen, Jeager.

The game is coming, and will be here next year. Just because we aren't getting any solid media right now is no reason to worry.

Is anyone else as happy as i am, that the game is actually on it's way to our HDD's and consoles? I feel a lot more laid back since all this delightful shit happened.

I'd like to agree but anyone that has spent any considerable amount of time waiting for DNF knows to remain skeptical until discs are in drives. We will see.

^ That is a very understandable perspective to have, Chu.

But i still believe we'll definitely see it next year.

Uhhh, I hate to burst your bubble, but I found the holoduke when I was playing it... In the second level there is an area you can crawl underneath with a vehicle on top of the opening... The holoduke is located on top of that vehicle. So instead of going under the vehicle like most people do, go around and jump on top of the vehicle to get the holoduke.

No, by camouflaged they mean camouflaged. You sorta become like a glass statue (you can see the effect on the weapon), and the holoduke itself can be seen as if it was a normal player. It also attacks enemies while you can run away or do sneak attacks. I would assume multiplayer would be the same way, you're not 100% camouflaged, but only an observant player would notice.

Raz.
