Don't care for a Duke movie, but i might if it's done ala '300' or 'Sin'.
Like, 80% CGI, 20% acting.
Then, anyone with the proper build could act Duke, heavy filters and makeup would make it all look cool.

I have to agree with that...
It also won't make Duke too real if done like this... Which is a good thing...

Well.. They should probably get someone who looks freakishly like Duke, add a little CGI if nessecary, and get Jon st. John to dub his voice. (I mean c'mon...)
But they should do a good dubbing job though... I've seen some horrible dubbing in my day..
(Does anyone have a list of emoticons... because all I know are ...)

Biohazard:Degeneration

How many of those did they make? there's quite a few... (I really never watched any, ugh, video game movies )
BUt a Duke movie (If done right) could be funny and cool...
(Although my love of Duke games may be clouding my judgement )

no wait.. I already said that...

the Resident Evil movies are good,
i can only hope if theres a Duke movie that its either 100% CGI or its verygood acting

I'm going with Howie Long as Duke. All he has to do is dye his hair a little more blonde.
#11 Posted 19 April 2008 - 12:51 AM
Howie Long simply seems like the natural choice...
I really am, just concerned for the voice...

Well, Jon St. John would be the best choice of course. I'm sure they will use his voice in the movie. It wouldn't be right without him. Actually, I think Howie Long could play Duke's voice if he practiced.

I couldn't imagine a dubbing... That would be be wrong...
Now, if it was one of those heaviliy CG using movies, like Sky Captain and Beowolf, then they could sneak in some lip syncing and dubbing without people really caring, since along with the computer generated animations, the rest of the movie will have the same graphical effects...
Uhh, it's hard to imagine the best out of a Duke movie...

Why do I have this feeling that you're indeed Dave Nukem and you're just ashamed to admit it?

Haha, I'm not Dave Nukem. I'm only 16 years old, Dave is 51. I'm the cameraman and Dave's the ultimate alien ass kicker and beer drinker!

None taken. We've all been waiting for DNF too long.

Dolph Lundgren! Seriously! I think he even could do the voice right.
A CGI movie would just look stupid. Sin City worked because it was in b/w, but Beowulf was just embarassing to watch...

Yeah, Duke's dad or possibly even General Graves. Nice video btw, he kinda looks like a more bad-ass Dennis Farina.
And I loved the e3 1998 trailer music!

Thanks! Now, getting back on topic. I don't know why I never thought of this, but why don't I play Duke in the movie? Haha!

Why? So you can type negative comments about it? Yeah, I'll try to post another pic one day. I'll have to shave first.
#26 Posted 28 July 2008 - 11:50 PM
I'm sure you will do fine for Duke regardless of what anyone says dude...
#27 Posted 29 July 2008 - 10:07 PM
Alright, alright. Here's another pic. My hair is kind of long and messed up, but here it is.

I found those gloves at Walmart.
Yeah, I'm past due for a haircut. My hair used to be as blonde as Duke's, but it turned kind of brown over the last couple of years.
#30 Posted 02 August 2008 - 11:27 PM
Yeah with those suggestions in mind for your hair, then you'll look even more like Duke...
