I know there has been alot of speculation regarding Duke Nukem Forever's release date so ill keep this as brief and short as possible.

As many of you know the intended release date for Duke Nukem Forever was to be April 1st, the story(minor spoiler) itself begins on April 1st as can be viewed in the game overview released after the(suspected) cancelation of the game.

Up until today, i beleived that it would simply not be the case that it would be released on this date in 2011 because Microsoft had announced that Gears of War 3 was to be released on April 5th. However, it is now the case that Gears of War 3 has been delayed 5 months. Epic Games representitive, Rod Fergusson, cites this as a "business decision between partners, and not a quality issue".

I beleive that Epic/Microsoft is moving the release date of the game because Duke Nukem Forever will dominate media coverage at the time and it would be a bad business decision to release any game around it.

So, there you have it. Some sort of evidence that Duke Nukem Forever may becoming out on its intended release day of April 1st.

I think they are clearing the scheduale because Duke can only really be released on this date for the full intention of the pun to be realised. That aside, its media coverage that the issue, what game gets the covers. Duke is a real big deal in the gaming industry,

ofcourse, it could all just be a coincidence.
