I am going to update my drivers and then make another thread complaining of the same shit because I didn't bother to use the search function.

...And to think, if it wasn't for the two of you (three of us, I suppose) the dumb, unnessecary thread could've died!

IM NOT LETTING THIS THREAD DIE YET

seems to me that someone should just make a sticky saying "NEW ATI DRIVERS CONFLICT WITH POLYMER+HRP" or something.

This gets boring.
http://forums.duke4.net/index.php?s=&s...ost&p=52423
Someone should really sum up this ATI shit in a sticky thread with an extra size font that no lazy noob can miss.
Additionally it should be stated that buying Duke3D on GOG does not entitle anyone to assume that Duke4.net is a professional helpdesk.

Fix what? They didn't break it, ATI did.

ATI's new drivers suck. They break things not make them better. There's no reason not to roll back.

What? The question has been answered. Ill state it again, "The latest ATI drivers DO NOT WORK with EDuke32"
It is an ATI issue, not EDuke32.

How many more threads and posts do we need on this shit?

That is because the answer to the problem was already in the thread for the OP.
Then he comes along and asks the same question without even reading or searching. Then goes on to bash the devs of EDuke and tell them to fix a problem that ATI introduced.

no need to - just disable HRP for a while go to video settings and change filtering from bilinear/trilinear to linear (I guess). Quit the game and turn on HRP again, it should work fine and PQ doesn't really suffer

Just registered to say I was having the same Ati related problems as the other posters.
I remedied the problem by following Honza7's instructions but changed the filtering option to NEAREST and it worked.
