Creating Duke Nukem Mod

Right now I'm creating a Duke Nukem 3D mod named "Duke Nukem 3D Forever." Since you probably already get the point I'll just cut to the questions. Where can I find a GRP editor to open/extract/delete files from the DUKE3D.GRP? I'm looking to edit pretty much all of the textures, but I can't find where you would change the logo. As in the main menu screen it will say Duke Nukem 3D at the top, I want to be able to change that to this: http://www.forge22.com/wallpaper/dual%20mo...202560x1024.jpg obviously it needs to be resized, but that's easy. How would I change that? Thanks in advance.

I use dukeres. You can download it be clicking on the link.
But it seems you are trying to do high res images. Dont you think the HRP will be a better path instead of editing and changing the GRP?

Ha, interesting. How exactly am I any type of competition towards you? Anyway, I use DukeRes too, but I am incapable of deleting files from the GRP, and I can only extract one file at a time. I used to have a better program when I made another mod, but I've been waiting and deleting files off my computer, so I lost it and can't find it. I am using the HRP, and as for the GRP editing, I want to be able to access the LOGO.ANIM to see exactly what it is.

So does anyone know how to change the logo? Also, does anyone know what's in the LOGO.ANIM file in the GRP I can't figure out a way to access it. Also how would I edit the intro where it shows the radioactive symbol, 3DRealms, HRP, etc? I want to replace that with the Duke Nukem Forever trailer.

Nope I figured that out, I got the menu screen, Duke's fingerless gloves, Duke's golden pistol, some DNF style weapons, DNF cutscenes, DVD cover, and working on enemies. I can post some pics up after I'm done working on it tonight. You think it would take forever? Well I'd say for a noob in this I got quite a lot done in a day.

How do I edit the md2 files of the HRP? I know that this is a Quake 2 type model, but how would I edit it?

You are seriously barking up the wrong tree.
You may only be 14 but jeez. Learn your stuff.
No one here will teach you how to model. This is a big thing.
Also that cover is by Sir Tobbii. I am not sure he would be too pleased.

You may want to try MD3's. they have a better poly limit.
If you want a free program that doesn't do a whole lot use Misfit Model3D
If you don't know how to model i would suggest to learn first.

Thanks, I'm testing it now. Yeah I don't know how to model, but at the very least I found a way to view a md2 file before this. I'm trying to edit the Devestator in the HRP to make it more like the DNF model as seen in gameplay videos. The way I viewed it, it's only made up three frames, and two of them are the same, so it should be simple enough depending on the program.

Oh I didn't realize you even posted that, ha. Anyway I'm not asking for someone to teach me how to model, all I need is a program which Nfelli64 was able to direct me to a good program. Yes I know I don't know much, but I know more than everyone I know. Being the way of how you said "Learn your stuff," that means that there are many people on here much better equipped to take on a task as this than I am which shows I know some smarter people. I'm sorry, but before I got back into Duke a couple years ago I worked on plain Quake I stuff and some C++ programming. I sure don't know that much, but don't underestimate my ability to learn. As for the DVD cover I don't really need, but it's cool to have a DVD cover saying Duke Nukem Forever even if you don't have the actual game.

I don't underestimate :)
And don't get me wrong when i said learn your stuff i was meaning you should learn a little bit about modelling before you try to take something on. You may find it will get very tedious otherwise.

It's fine, I've had quite a bit of experience with many things, science, math, and computers are my three major subjects, computers being the top. I know how to create some things now with the program that Nfelli64 showed me. I don't know how to create a skin, but I do know how with another program Quake 2 Modeller, which I can't create models with, I can create only skins.
