I think he meant that it wasn't made for the HRP. I played it in Polymost with 8-bit art and it looked fine with no glitches. And frankly, I would be surprised if the HRP caused any problems (aside from the usual HRP deficiencies) since the map has a straightforward design without a lot of spritework.

classic 8bits mode is exactly what he said. He meant no polymost/polymer neither hrp. Despite the fact that it can look okay in 32bits, it was his will and should not be misleaded.

There is no mode called "classic" in EDuke32. There is 32bit OpenGL, and there is the software renderer. If he meant that his map should only be played with the software renderer, then he should have said so.
It's a good map, everyone.

Not now, but one year ago, the screen modes were 8bits classic, 16bits polymostand 32bits polymost.
The screen modes are the same as before, their ¨name¨ is the only thing that changed. I think it´s safe to say he wanted people to play it in software mode, or whatever it´s called.

I played it 8 bit as it was intended and then I played it 32 bit, more or less by accident because I forgot to change the settings. It plays fine in 32 bit, but texture wise, it looks much better in 8 bit.
