I just feel the need to reiterate my need to play the game. My entire existence revolves around DNF. I get up in the morning and plan my DNF related activities, I spend hours each day with thoughts of DNF floating ostensibly through my mind, and I conduct internet searches to see if anyone has any new opinions or information as to the status of the game. Making threads stating my support for the game helps me to release some of the passionate energy that builds up within me as a result of my incessant fantasies and dreams about DNF.

Does that mean you will become immortal if DNF never ships?

Hell Yeah. Face it Kennel Club, the only way you are going to get DNF within 3 years is if you bribe the HRP team to make it for you.
Oh, by the way, that 3 year figure is taking the highly dangerous and unlikely assumption that after the lawsuit is finished, that they will actually complete the game.

How on earth can you know what the plot is for DNF 2001 if no one has ever played it?

Its not based around Vegas, try to think of it as D3D redone
Iam nearly ready for a release, as stated on the moddb
Quote
So after 8 months the public will be able to see duke nukem eternity in action soon, just wrapping up things and packing it for an easy install.
if everyone who is keen on playing this please have a eduke32 dir with the latest revision, the latest dukeplus and HRP as this will help a lot come installation time
- Cheers
DanM
Dev time is going to run much longer than expected with the addition of the new dukeplus effects and dukebike, so iam going to be spending a bit more time than expected on the next 2 levels and I am sure TX & Plagman would like to have something to showcase the beauty of polymer sooner rather than later.

It is, some even confessed to being 14 year old kids, so watch out, the new duke fans are in town
I wish I had this game even if I consider all those bad things from the other topic. I would just want to have it so I can officially say I played it and it sucks exactly like I thought it would! If there would be even one entertaining thing to do or place in the game, I would actually be amazed.
I really believe the 2001 one was very tightly knit together from that trailer. I honestly believe, the old 2001 one was much better for the year 2001 than today's official screenshots and leaks make this new version to be for our times!
It had something that none of the games in that time had. Even today when I look at it, I notice it was very ahead of it's times.
I will honestly want to play the 2001 one more than this new one because of many reasons but this one would also be better than nothing I guess...

I agree completely. The '01 build is the DNF I was waiting for. They should have pushed hard & got it out the door while the tech was still relevant.
