Well, which one?
I prefer dark one, but smiles tend to have white halo around them which isn't good.

Which forum skin do you use?

The default one.
If that white halo thing gets fixed that you speak of I may switch to the other one then.

I primarily use the default one because it has the same color scheme as the main site.

The default one. Some things are hard to read on the Nightstrike one.

The default, but only because NSD isn't much better - they're all dark. Another forum I use has the same board software but uses a nice light-blue phpBB style lookalike that is much easier on the eye. If there's a way to simulate this here, I haven't found it yet

It is all CSS as far as I know...so there probably is a not so hard way to do that. The forum is a series of tables and divs (some of them overlapping, btw. at least on FF 3.5)
Anyway, if someone drew out the colors they wanted with hex codes to match, I don't think it would be too much to make a skin to work with that. This is from my looking at the stylesheet and such though...

Barf. Bright design has to be the HARDEST on the eyes. I use the default because Night Strike is ugly.

If you're a in a badly lit room, then sure! Otherwise, dark background + bright fonts is MUCH harder on the eyes.

I beg to differ. The Best Page in the Universe has the best design ever. Black background + white or midrange yellow or orange text.

Never mentioned, apparently, I use the default because - no offense - Nightstrike Duke is very, very ugly. The default one is hot shit though
