Duke Nukem 3D - WIP animation
I've been gone for a while but I still watch these forums.
Busy with work and stuff, but a little while ago I was able to learn 3d max from and friend and make this.
For a while I've been wanting to portray a horror story version of E2L2 Incubator from the game Duke Nukem 3d centering around the viewer's perspective of the dark and disturbing things that happen in that level. If you know about me, I have a history with that level and what it holds.
This 3d animation I'm working on is a horror about a novice EDF investigation agent that arrives at the space station that lost contact 3 days ago. We witness the horrors of what has happened to the station and its crew through the eyes of the lone EDF agent. I take a few liberties here and there with the level set up and stuff, but it's meant to more or less precede when Duke arrives. Originally I was going to make it a flash game, but that didn't work. I tried doing an animation for a while, but it was way too much work. Since I had a friend show me how to do 3d modeling, I was able to make this. Probably be a 20 min video if I get it done. I'm still rather novice at 3d animation so some of the the animations like walking might look a little off.
A very special thanks to the Duke 3d HRP team. I ask permission to use their textures for the level setup and it makes the backgrounds look great.

Honestly i'd suggest putting this in it's own thread. Unless this project itself goes into the pornographic department. In which case I don't see it lasting on YouTube very long.

Cool stuff, wished that the main character would've spoken though. Some great music choices as well, especially the inclusion of one of the The Thing tracks; just shows how good the soundtrack is to that movie, I mean it fits perfectly into any kind of horror-esque setting.

Yeah definitely with the Thing. It always gives me shivers hearing it's music. I also wished I could have included voices, but I can't cause I don't wanna record myself and I did this whole thing by myself. And obviously finding a girl who would willingly act out the victim is unlikely.

I've seen that old mod before. I actually think it looks really weird, stupid, and probably made as a joke. The only mod I really like was the nude patches by dan reames.
