I just built eduke32 from source on my CachyOs system, no errors during build. Copied the necessary resources from my Gog version to ./eduke32 according to the Mac instructions.
When I start the game, I can hear the sound and the taskbar also displays eduke, but I can't alt+tab to it nor does it show anything.
I don't see anything special in the startup log.
I play other games both via Proton and natively on Linux without a problem.
