Hello everyone! I need your help. English is not my first language — I can read it but I don’t really speak it. Because of that, I couldn’t figure out how to actually play with the new textures.

On the main page I saw the news post “2024-03-27 - Even wider” with the line:
“Widescreen Fixes for Duke3D v1.6 has been released.”

When I click that link, it takes me to this page - https://hrp.duke4.net/download.php. There I see the section:

Duke Nukem 3D: High Resolution Pack v5.4 (June 15, 2015)
Duke3D HRP v5.4 FULL SFX (986 MB) - Self-extracting archive with everything needed to play

So I downloaded the archive, extracted it, launched EDuke32, checked the “Fullscreen” option — but I still only see the old classic textures.

What exactly do I need to do to make the new textures show up, like in the screenshots from the Media section - https://hrp.duke4.net/media.php?

Find eduke32.exe, make a new folder, throw the .zip into that folder, check "Use autoload directory" select the folder and you should be good.

The widescreen pack has nothing to do with the HRP. You either use one or the other, never both. And no, the HRP (still) doesn't have widescreen support as of now.
