Forum software kicks me out of my account even while actively using the site

Title. This has been going on for a few months now, and the only reason I haven't reported it sooner was that I was waiting for it to happen one more time in front of me, but in these past few months it signed me out while I wasn't around.

It's as if the timeout timer no longer updates when I click around the site or open up a reply. I've been logged out in the middle of writing replies, and I don't mean I just sat there with the text prompt open for two weeks straight. I know some of my posts can take a while but I'm not that bad.

Yeah, it's happening to me also. Problably is to avoid bots?

Can confirm it also has been happening to me since past couple months. It even happens with PMs sent. Maybe this explains why the forum's activity has slowed down as of lately.

Anyway, when making a long reply, I highly recommend copy-pasting the message into a separate text document and that way you won't be losing the reply just because of an error.

It happens frequently with me (mainly when I want to preview my post). Sometimes when I post, I receive a message about security key. But rarely when I post my account is shutdown.

This is so boring!

I haven't been posting much here lately so I haven't noticed getting signed out while in the forum. But there have been a few times where I come to the forum after a few days of not being here and I have been signed out.

It's happening to me as well. Checking the box to keep me signed in does not make a difference.

F12 -> Application -> Cookies -> pass_hash
What are your expiration dates on this?

1-2 weeks ago it was set to 2-3 days ahead of login for me. Now it's 12th of Oct.

For me it's seven days ("pass-hash" can be found under "storage" rather than "application" BTW).

It just signed me out twice within the space of two hours, all whilst actively browsing the site.

Something I somehow only noticed somewhat recently is, logging in on here on one device will automatically log you out on any/all possible other device(s) you may have used before to log in. So say if I browse Duke4 on a laptop and right before that I was looking at it and logged in on my phone, logging in on the laptop will disconnect me on the phone, and if I have a desktop computer I also sometimes use to browse/log in I also will get logged out on that too, etc. I know that sounds a bit different from random kickoffs whilst actively browsing or even posting/DM'ing on the site (I used to get that too, lately not so much - it doesn't feel like an unreasonable timespan anymore between expirations), but I wonder if being a multiple tab/window/browser type of user may not encourage them for similar security reasons as that.

This site kicks me out even if I'm writing a reply, I can't even check for "View New Content" because is always empty, so I need to manually fheck the threads. lol but I think is okay in order to prevent bots.
