I just finished playing the map on Maximum Fury with a end time of 24 minutes. The map is fine. I do have two critiques though:
1.- The map is pretty stingy on ammo. I was 12 minutes in when I got my first shotgun ammo and I basically got like 5-7 red buckshot rounds. This is ignoring the first time you get the shotgun with explosive ammo at the start, because those where gone too after the encounter with the GDF soldiers. I'm not asking to go to the other extreme but it would be nice to at least have a little more ammo lying around.
2.- The way to get the red key is needlessly obtuse. I get what you where going for, and I do like the idea for the player to spot the street hole through the window after they open the switch. But to be honest noticing this
is pretty damn hard unless you are actively expecting it. I actually took like 9 more minutes of combing the map until I noticed the damn hole.
After that it's kinda straight forward? I w would suggest telegraphing better what walls are destructible and whose are not. The one inside the vault I only discovered after looking at the map to try and figure out a clue to get out.
Aside from that, if you run along the left side of the tunnel that leads you to the pool/fountain area, you may die squished by the geometry.
Otherwise, the map was fun. A little cluttered IMO but it was a fine romp. I imagine the map is intended to and can be finished in 10-15 minutes tops, even on Maximum Fury difficulty. I can't wait to see your next map!
It's always nice to see new Ion Fury maps come out.
