I don't think the music included with that map is the original Duke music so you will not find it on the CD. The original music is in the duke3d.grp file. DETHTOLL.MID is the default user map music.

This is a remake of one of my first levels, house3.map,which was crap. I know
you are thinking,"Gee,another house level," and will probably not bother
to play, but please, give it a try, I wanted to make a good house level. I
put alot of blood, sweat, and tears into this level and tried to make it
as best as I could.
Description:As I said, it is a house level. There is lots of ambient sounds
to throw you and your opponent off. There is also a lot of
shading so you can hide from your enemies. Many of the walls can
be blown up too,and there are alot of C-9 traps, so watch out
what items you grab!
Also, there is new music and some new art.
*******NOTE*******NOTE********
There are two versions of the map. One is 2139.map, it has a bunch of rain and
rain sounds. It is also, however, very slow on some machines. It slowed a bit
on mine (Pentium 133,16 megs ram) So I included another version (x2139.map)
which has no rain or rain sounds. Both versions have thunder and lighting.
+++++++PLAY INFORMATION++++++++++++++++++++++++
Single player: Yeah, maybe just to look around
Co-op: Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh,no.
Dukematch: Yeah that's the idea.
New Art: Yeah, some cool tiles for a house.
New Music: Yeah, some quick music perfect for lotsa action. I think it is from
Super Metroid.
Build Time: Crap, about 40-50 hours. Build crashed alot.
Known bugs: 1.When you enter the front door, and look up or down the stairs,
you will see the sector above and it will be all mangled. It
doesn't really affect gameplay though. I don't know how to fix
this. Sector over sectors are weird.
2.Sometimes when downstairs you may see the floor above for like a
split second. Doesn't affect gameplay either.
If you find any more bugs other than these, please email me.
Copyrights and Stuff: I don't really care what you do with this level as
long as this txt file stays with it. I don't see why
you would want to rip off this level, since it is
a house level. About the art: I didn't make the tiles,
I found them one day sitting on my hard drive. You
can use em as long as I get credit. (And if you are or
you know the person who made them, you can get credit
too.)
Oh and just if your curious about the name "2139" for a house level, it
is my house number.

The music starts only at certain points in the map (as in all others where can listen) then ....
If I knew to use BUILD and open the map, I certainly would find the file !!
I do not think is a MIDI sound.

If it only plays at certain points it is indeed unlikely that it's a midi.

So yeah, the music you're hearing must be a midi then (or something else but I won't go into that yet)

some maps where you hear the sound if you shoot at some points the sound ceases as a tape which is removed electricity, and after restart in other points...
I've created this file using Open GL Duke in order to occupy less space and in 640 x 480
can fit?

Make a map and put sprite number 4397 in it, it looks like a speaker. It will spawn that sound. It may have to be ceiling-aligned though.
I'm not sure what the filename for the sound is, a bit too lazy to find out right now (can't find any mention of it in the CONs..)
But yeah that's an in-game sound, there's a VOC file for it in the GRP somewhere.

're right, there are 4 speakers in the ceiling, by pressing V i can see all texture ( 4397 spk functioning and 4398 spk broken )
in game if you shoot the speaker is broken and the sound speed decreases
I not understand is how a texture is connected to a sound and where is
make progress, I'll be back to build maps like old times

To Pull - understood as a, pull out, remove from the CON, extraction......

Don't know what the file is though and can't find reference to it in the CON files so dunno

If that ain't the one you looking for then that means you where playing with a mod that changed the sound file to something else.

Inside the file called "DUKE3D.GRP"
You need a program called "Group File Studio" to open it, link provided.

One Question, The VOC files still have a copyright?
I like to use some of these in a site that I'm building ( only little file for pull-down menus and submenus ...) and not midi
