R.I.P Flash with Shockwave  "any memories?"

I thought this might be of some use to someone...

The first emulator I tried was Ruffle, a browser add-on that lets you run Flash games.
But Ruffle didn't address the inability to run shockwave games, so I then discovered Flashpoint. Flashpoint is a sort of huge collection of games of all platforms, it even has its own search engine. When searching for a specific one, however, it may not have it in the database yet.
A second option when trying to run a particular game is to install Shockwave+ Pale Moon browser, which shockwave still supports. There is a description with shockwave download link on this page: https://oneweakness.com/shockwave.html

Unfortunately, even this doesn't guarantee the ability to play any game one can think of. Namely, how to run Munch Madness, I haven't figured that out until now. Nothing to do but wait and see if the game is added to Flashpoint at some point in the future.

If someone had another solution or just wanted to let know which browser games they killed their time with in the distant past, this thread might serve.

I believe these games also have a certain contribution to video game history, just like java and symbian games.

I discovered another way how to launch flash games- if it isn´t in Flashpoint´s database or doesn´t work with Ruffle. Download Adobe Flash Player, link is here: https://archive.org/...r_32_sa_debug_2 Then visit page with game in question- menu bar in browser- Other Tools- Page Source. Press Ctrl+ F and type in search bar ".swf " When a direct link to the .swf file appears (related to game), just copy it and open it in a new panel to automatically download it. Finally, open swf in adobe flash player.
This has a big advantage for offline playing of selected flash games.

There are also plenty of flash games to download at this address which is handy when looking for one in particular instead of instantly downloading the entire archive: https://archive.org/details/armorgames or https://archive.org/...load/armorgames

So I finally found a way to run Munch Madness! I installed the outdated Netscape Navigator 9 browser from this address: https://www.techspot...pe-browser.html

The game works, except that the browser very often annoys me with messages due to problem with protocol. If only there was a way to reduce this! Also, for security reasons, it's not a good idea to use the browser for anything other than gaming.
But this is my big discovery.

Unfortunately, it turns out that the problem is not only in the launching of the games, but mainly in the absence of the old sites that offered the games in question (mainly shockwave), and if some exist (like Miniclip or FOG), the game is no longer available there. Flashpoint still remains indispensable in this regard.

Nope, i managed to play it till end today. Maybe protocol errors are occassional. I've also found that against those errors, in the game in question, all you have to do is stop the character's movement occasionally and "not play as smoothly" and the game will work fine!

I found a great way to run offline flash games on android
1:- download this application for your devices and install it https://apkcombo.com...m.vkrun.fgpnew/
2:- download flash player plugin and install it
https://adobe-flash-...own.com/android
3:- get swf for the game you want to run and open flash game player application and run your game

Note:- from what I've heard is that if you have android 7 or above this app will emulate flash player instead of running it natively which may cause some performance issues

There is another way for playing online flash games using a browser called puffin but I don't use it much since newgrounds is blocked by my ISP

Oh that's interesting. I have a Android phone lying around, I may try to use that.
