- no original Duke 3D levels (from episodes 1-5) are allowed, however the more recognised TC's, Duke it Out in DC, Duke! Zone 2, Duke Caribbean, Nuclear Winter are perfectly fine;
- let's keep this to more known levels, i.e. not super obscure stuff from 1996 that only the author and his 2 friends have played. I think the general rule of thumb should be, let's keep it only to maps which are on either MSDN or CGS map listings (with perhaps few exceptions - leaving this more as a guidance and not a strict rule);
- I'd like to keep it more dynamic, so after 24 hours of inactivity from the person who is posting a screenshot, someone else can take their turn;
- also after sometime without anyone guessing correctly or no one making tries at all, the person who posted the screenshot should post another one - I will leave it to their discretion when it's a good moment to post another one to keep the game going;
- if someone doesn't want to post a screenshot after guessing correctly or knows they won't be able to be active, please state it in the initial post with your guess - this way we won't have to wait until someone says they pass their turn and anyone else will be able to post a screenshot instead of them;
- please don't edit your posts, whether you are guessing or posting a screenshot - there's no need for additional confusion;
- please post your screenshot in a decent resolution (at least 800x600, preferably larger), with decent brightness/gamma allowing the others to see what's on the screenshot. Also it would be probably better to remove HUD/crosshair/weapon/stats from the screenshot. And finally, please post an area that looks fairly unique to the level - it doesn't have to be something exactly revealing straight away what map we're talking about, but hugging a wall to see only a stretched texture isn't something people would like to guess. Also, out of bounds/easter egg areas are perfectly fine - in a way, it could be funny to showcase them around!
- if you recognise the map you have authored on one of the screens, please pass that turn - that would be too easy
- you can also post some additional clues to your screenshot, preferably after a few people miss their guesses, to point them a bit in the correct direction.
I will start with something quite easy. I think we should see how the game should be balanced and how easy/difficult screenshots we should post. I posted a screenshot of an easter egg from a not so well known map few days ago on Discord and someone immediately got it correct, so that should be also taken into account.
