Binary message?

After 24 years I doubt I'm the first person to notice this, but it's news to me at least. I decided to spin up DC for about the 8,765th time, but this time play it real slow and take my time with it. It's something I do every once in a while to appreciate some of the details I tend to overlook on my normal blast-through-and-kick-ass style of play. And even though it's not my first time doing this, it is apparently the first time I bothered to look at the graffiti in any detail.

There's what looks to be binary code above the "MSG". I tried to transliterate it, but the texture quality is too poor around the G to make out. Has anyone else seen this? Does anyone know if it translates out to anything?

I used this to go from binary to letters
https://lingojam.com/BinarytoEnglish

This is the code I gathered from the image ...
10101011
01010101
01010010
11101011
01111010
01001101
01001010

Result: «URëzMJ

Not much, but perhaps a start.

Interesting, maybe it is the initials of the creator of the texture? Maybe it is a Shawn Swift's internet handle?

Actually didn't MetHy contact mister Swift some months ago? I wonder if it would be possible to shoot him a email and ask him if this was an obscure reference to something?

No need to decode anything. I know it's a warning. It says: "Never sell the Duke franchise to Randy".

Shame they didn't record the message on a higher resolution.

Was he also the texture artist?

I mean I think so? All the Artwork is apparently credited to him.

Keep in mind that ASCII is a seven bit code. Those 7 groups of 8 bits might also represent 8 groups of 7 bits. I don't care enough to see if that results in anything meaningful, though.

As I wrote, I used the webpage for translation; and entered the code as one string, not broken up.
Breaking it down into 7 would result as:
U U * . [ i ^z J

Either way, I never noticed the code, and simply am curious. :)

Or "Don't let Broussard sink DNF"

MSC could’ve stood for Microsoft C Makefile or something, and the code is just, well, 0s and 1s… ? :P

I think it's just scribbles, myself, but could it mean anything as decimal or hexadecimal?

Tile and sound numbers don't appear to have anything significant there, what else is there?
