Glad to see these prototypes released. Looking forward to seeing what everyone uncovers from these builds. I can't wait for all the documentation that'll come from this to read about all the differences. Posted Image

For sure. Those games are totally underrated (by everyone not a duke nukem fan).

Posting gameshark codes I made, should work on Xebra and Duckstation (haven't tried with real hardware but in theory they should work there)

Level Modifier for TTK June 12th
800C5DB4 00XX

Level Modifier for TTK July 7th
800B8A50 00XX

Level Modifier for TTK Aug. 21st
800B649E 00XX

Level Modifier for TTK Sept. 8th
800B8C46 00XX

Level Modifier for LOTB April 15th
801FFF08 00XX

All cheats for LOTB April 15th
8006C68C FFFF

XX stands for the level id, replace it with a valid level id.

LOTB at one point was meant to have this charge shot weapon called the slug gun that was cut, fully functional here in the proto, other interesting differences.

I'll be very curious to see what changes are in Land of the Babes. Time to Kill didn't seem to have drastic changes in the protos, some minor stuff mostly, but Land of the Babes, I'd be curious to see if they filed all the quality out of it before release or if it was always just on the wrong track.

The Aug. 21 and Sep. 8 protos sure, but the earlier protos had some pretty big level design changes (documented in mortimer's thread) alongside enemy cuts and a boss being cut.
To say nothing of how weird jumping is in the earlier protos, being more akin to TR. It really fucks with your muscle memory and also makes the game way harder.

RE: Lotb, I need to keep playing it, so far levels seem at first glance to be very similar to final but have some pickup differences here and there (shrinker can be obtained in the big guns cavern secret for example), different music, different cutscenes. I didn't dig deep into the levels so I'm probably missing out on a lot more stuff.
One thing I did notice is how fucking hard pigcops are in the proto - in both final and proto they can do 20 dmg max, but in the final it's split into multiple -2 dmg hitscans that are fairly inaccurate and have quite a bit of spread. In the proto pigcops seem noticeably more accurate which means you tend to get hit and lose 15-20 points per hit way more than final. The brown apes are also fucking annoying in the proto, doing more damage than final (no exact number), but at least their ego boost is higher in the proto (18 vs 10 from the final) Only played on Come get some (called get some in the proto)
Balancing definitely seems better in final than in proto thus far.
To add to this, you can't get over your max of 100 ego unlike final.
