I imagine people here will be especially happy to see both Fluidsynth Support and Raw Mouse Input, since official Dosbox does not have either feature.

Also, please leave feedback about 0.76 in the #dosbox-staging section of the Discord channel if possible.

A pity that the official DosBox version doesn't seem to get updated any more since quite a while. Personally, I am using EmuCR Dosbox from here.

They do update the code, and current vanilla SVN builds are available from DOSBox ECE site along with the ECE version. They are only different from the theoretical official updated release in that the latter would be more or less thoroughly tested for stability and come with an installer (I have not found any official portable download of vanilla DOSBox 0.74-3).

Basically, when you use forks, you get the latest official build plus enhancements. At least, this is true for DOSBox ECE.

I haven't tried staging yet. Their site says the main goal is to gear it towards DOS gaming, I wonder what exactly makes the fork different in this regard.

I just checked the latest vanilla SVN build from Yesterplay, and confirmed that Shadow Warrior shareware v1.1 is now supported and playable. The annoying errors with aspect ratio correction in some video modes including 640x400 (e.g. Powerslave) is also fixed.
