I have been working on a script to repackage WT as a .GRP file and I have found that EDuke32 flatly states (e.g. for E5L1) AMSTE_UP.TGA not found. This is with the file name cited in the .DEF file on it's own, with it prefixed with "./", prefixed with "/", and in both upper and lowercase ".tga" Surely if cited in the .DEF file with the correct path, EDuke32 should be able to find them. I should also state that this is on Linux, so filename case might be an issue; certainly in the case of a directory (with -j) it appears that EDuke32 can't locate .ART files if ".art" is in lower case.
Is the internal filesystem only searched for .ZIP files in the case of skyboxes and such? Is there a reason, if so? I mean compression wouldn't normally be a reason as most skyboxes are .PNG, though of course in the case of WT, they are .TGA.
